Gun control debate (merged)

Not if it puts my family at risk also. That is not their right.
You are simply wrong. If somebody is in danger and they are armed they have a right of self defense. And in exercising it they are not infringing on your right’s. Accept it and move on

What they may consider reasonable defense of themselves and what I may consider reasonable are 2 entirely different things. See Trayvon Martin.

Why don’t instead you go research the term peaceful assembly. You don’t get to choose the definition Cletus.

I actually laughed at him as I do most people who open carry. He was so petrified of the danger that may lurk at the evil strawberry patch that he felt the need to go packing. And y'all call liberals scared. Lol.
Yeah, like snakes and other things... but carry on with your irrational fear of inanimate objects.

I want the gang shootings to stop as well, but if you think open carrying is going to stop that then you are wrong. It's just adding more fuel to the fire.
Id love that too. Convincing gang members not to shoot other gang members would be an exercise in futility due to their mindset.
Being able to protect yourself against someone attacking you is a right. Whether it be a gang member, a road rager or whoever. What is adding fuel to the fire or "narrative" are people assuming gun owners are incompetent.
I guess it's perspective. I see people carrying here. Bothers me not. You see people carrying and you start "what iffing". That in itself leads to an early grave.

There's none of your "rednecks" hanging out in gang territory, and open carrying to try and stop it.

Bnhunt to armed citizen: "Don't you dare defend me and my kids from that guy shooting everybody. I'd rather take my chances with him than one of your stray bullets."

He also increases the risk that me or my kids get shot because now the gunman perceives a threat because someone else has a gun and is firing whereas before we were no threat at all.

Give us some real life examples where exactly that happened. How many, how often, where and when?

While you are at it, look up that thing I asked you to earlier and tell us where that has ever happened. You know, the one where that guy carrying that AR-15 "everywhere" opens fire at a perceived threat and puts you and your children in danger? Never heard back from you on that one either.

So list all those instances where someone carrying an AR-15 wherever they wanted; opened fire where they perceived a threat and put others in danger?

I'll hang up now and wait for you to get busy with your Google-Fu.

But you want to be able to carry your AR-15 wherever you want and open fire when you perceive there to be threat, which potentially puts my children in danger. I think we pay people called law enforcement to protect us in those situations and you have no right to put me or my family in danger simply because you decide someone is a threat.
