Gun control debate (merged)

Seems the like the fearful are in force.

I bet he has other guns and his family is safer without it. But let's take a look at Republicans policies on guns. The increase in mass shooting are a result of the lift on the assault weapons ban. You all should not mistake that big FU as "your rights". It's not and the sooner you realize it the better off you will be. You all are not mature enough to know the difference between a right and stupidity.

Pull that out of your azz like normal?

When will Walmart stop selling alcohol and cigarettes?

By definition, aren't all weapons assault weapons?

Yes they either all are or none of them are . I have firearms that have never assaulted anything . ( maybe a target )
Picking out one platform and calling it some scary name is BS .

A Guide on the Different Options for AR-15 Calibers

The AR platform is so popular because it’s so versatile . You idiots want to ban a platform and call it an “ assault weapon “ when most don’t have a clue that it’s just a semi-automatic rifle . The platform doesn’t make it any more or less deadly that any other semi-auto with a detachable magazine .

What a bunch of horseshit. There's a reason it's the weapon of choice for mass shooters (terrorist). Lets see if you know why? I bet you do but your argument would be shot if you said so.

What is a gun designed to do? What are these other things designed to do? What purpose does a gun have besides it's intended/designed use? How about these other things?
Only .05% of guns shoot a person a year. This includes cops and any gun violence.
At least 20% of the US hunts with guns.

You really want to argue guns are intended to be used to kill people when 400 times more likely to be used hunting?

It is designed to kill and that is the point which you missed entirely.

It's why he didn't respond to my reply, but we all knew that was going to happen.

Wherever will I buy handgun ammo now??

Oh yeah, at one of the literally hundreds of other retailers of ammunition.
Walmart was so useless during the ammo shortages, not sure why anyone would be buying from them anyways. And I don’t think I know anyone that’s bought a gun at Walmart.

Are you making the argument that the problem is with the magazine fed, semi-auto's? I think you're getting too caught up on what the anti-gun lobby is calling it and to be fair, your argument is a bit self defeating. You suggest that its popularity is due to its versatility and then finish by stating it's no different from other semi auto's. The versatility of different barrels, stocks, scopes, trigger cranks etc. are precisely what make the gun more lethal. People don't just add sht to make the gun heavier, I didn't.

I wonder how many rounds of ammunition are fired annually in the US that have anything to do with a person being harmed vs not? I'll conservatively start the bidding at 1 per million.
