The AR platform is so popular because it’s so versatile . You idiots want to ban a platform and call it an “ assault weapon “ when most don’t have a clue that it’s just a semi-automatic rifle . The platform doesn’t make it any more or less deadly that any other semi-auto with a detachable magazine .

Only .05% of guns shoot a person a year. This includes cops and any gun violence.
At least 20% of the US hunts with guns.

You really want to argue guns are intended to be used to kill people when 400 times more likely to be used hunting?

Walmart was so useless during the ammo shortages, not sure why anyone would be buying from them anyways. And I don’t think I know anyone that’s bought a gun at Walmart.

Are you making the argument that the problem is with the magazine fed, semi-auto's? I think you're getting too caught up on what the anti-gun lobby is calling it and to be fair, your argument is a bit self defeating. You suggest that its popularity is due to its versatility and then finish by stating it's no different from other semi auto's. The versatility of different barrels, stocks, scopes, trigger cranks etc. are precisely what make the gun more lethal. People don't just add sht to make the gun heavier, I didn't.

I wonder how many rounds of ammunition are fired annually in the US that have anything to do with a person being harmed vs not? I'll conservatively start the bidding at 1 per million.
