Despite implementation of the ban and the subsequent suit filed in court, Maxwell points out his support for President Trump continues. He says he's not a "single-issue voter" and that Trump has his vote in the next election – but he does believe the bump stock issue is an area Trump didn't fully understand. The president's executive order, he says, may have been "a knee-jerk reaction," and in his opinion "it was just the wrong way to go about it."

This is the guy who owned the company that made bump stocks and had his inventory confiscated without compensation.

He's still going to vote for Trump.

Point?

I'm not voting for a man that thinks with the stroke of a pen he can take away someones property without compensation or due process and simply owning that piece of property today that was legal yesterday is a felony offense. This crosses so many lines that it's not simply a 2A issue it's a property rights issue.

So be happy when a liberal gets elected instead. Then see what happens to your 2A rights and property rights.

The guy who was most impacted by that EO is still a Trump voter.

Let the courts sort it out. The EO is probably illegal. Wonder why Obama didn't try this? Was it because he was dumb, lazy or knew what the political fall out and end result would be?

A liberal being elected is exactly why everyone should be up in arms and fighting the bump stock ban.

He didn’t not infringe on any gun right , He did do something stupid and infringe on your ability to purchase and own an aftermarket item with the stroke of a pen which as Hogg points out is a dangerous use of EO powers .

Has he banned them ? We’ve been down that road and there’s a reason why those bans always have a show cause at the end to continue and always a reason why they don’t last . You asked a specific question so I’ll answer it .. nope , I believe I said what he did was wrong . I also believe I was very specific in what I said to you , Trump DID NOT infringe upon yours or my ... Arms / Gun / Firearm rights as laid out by 2a.

You are correct neither are those items . Doesn’t mean I want them gone just like I wouldn’t won’t your ability to buy oversized tires gone for your 4x4 truck to be taken away from you . I’ve never owned a bump stock , I think they are garbage ( my opinion ) I’ve lived through one mag ban that I can think of and kept the ones I had already bought along with extras . When the ban lifted I bought new ones again so no I didn’t miss them .

You like being able to have nice ( extra things ) I’m with you there , but he has yet to infringe on my rights to keep and bear arms . When he does I’ll be right there with you calling it out .

I was not corrected it is a different view. Both come to the realization that what he did was wrong. His actions are sadly being supported by way too many

You were corrected in your usage of 2a rights . Just because you view a bump-stock as a 2a right doesn’t make it so . It’s an add on to what is your right . I’ll agree with the rest .

Now here's a story I'm sure all of the gun folks will celebrate as a good guy with a gun story. But these robbers had hit four stores previously without firing a shot. Guns here simply escalated the situation and resulted in one death and one injury. Remove the guns, and likely no robberies and no shooting deaths.
