Gun control debate (merged)

Law-abiding citizens committed exactly zero of those deaths. Those are the ones that that would give their guns if forced. Criminals would not. Then, what happened to Venezuela happens here. It's very simple to understand.
Ehh. I'd consider most law enforcement to be law abiding. They don't have the best track record though...

Many of those 40,000 WERE INDEED committed by law abiding citizens. They were law abiding up to the very second they committed the crime.

Now apply that same logic to drunk drivers , and people dying while texting on their phones . Why are cars , alcohol and phones not being banned , reduced or out right confiscated to prevent us from possibly hurting ourselves or someone else in the future ? How many bottles of alcohol was sold in the US last year ? How many vehicles ? How many cell phones? I find it very difficult to put a lot of stock in the lefts ideology and solutions when you champion programs like banning plastic straws and then handing out plastic syringes for heroine addicts in San Fran . Just one example that comes to mind early this a.m.
