I think everyone acknowledges that population density, demographics, and wealth distribution are major contributing factors.

If LA, Chicago, and others had less gun restrictions, the statistics would be far worse. If surrounding communities and states had more restrictions, the stats in LA, Chicago, etc would be much better.
