Gun control debate (merged)

Yep. I have watched all of the debates (both parties). You could flip a coin as to which Dem to vote for. Black lives matter, police are crooks, come out of the shadows, college for everyone, health care is a right, LGBT rights, equal pay for women, open borders, no such word as Islamic terrorist, Wall Street bad, guns bad, etc.

Where do the differ, other than Bernie needs to support the 2nd Amendment in his state? I am not sure that he would if elected Pres.

Bernie is a fudder when it comes to 2A and that comes from his naivety about government.

Hillary isn't for free college for everyone like Bernie, so they do differ there. Bernie and Hillary definitely differ on guns - just look at their voting records and speeches. I've never heard Hillary say Wall St. is bad and this is Bernie's main platform argument, so they definitely differ there. They also voted differently on the Iraq war. But other than all of those differences they are a lot alike...lol.

When you get past the GOP rhetoric these candidates actually have a number of differences.

I'll agree there's difference between the two but the only real thing that separates her from neocons are gun rights, the fact that the citizens United ruling let people say mean things about her specifically, and muh vagina.

Hillary's funding comes from Wall Street. Why would she say anything bad about the golden cow?

Bnhunt has to be LG's other account. Both are "lawyers," and when bnhunt starts posting often LG tends to not post as much.

I actually think Obama is a moderate Democrat. Although I'm sure most of this board think he's a communist.
He is a ****ing communist. You think the ACA was the final step in his quest? Gun control? Destruction of religion? Higher minimum wage? the only thing that doesn't fit is his desire to gut the military.

Hillary said something about helping students with their educational debt twice in the last debate. She also said that she would be tough on Wall Street and that the money she received from them didn't influence the way she voted. Of course, she is a liar, so that didn't mean squat.

Step away from the ledge. There's a bunch of jagged rocks below.

Just think, almost 8 years of Obama now, and you're still alive. Did you ever think you would make it? Well, then don't jump now, since you've come so far. You've got too much courage to fall apart now.

Obama isn't a communist. Now I truly think Sanders is a closet communist but Obama isn't.

^^^love it. Let him jump. What's scary is that there are a lot of people that think like him. They are still waiting for Obama to turn this into a Muslim state. In my opinion, a lot of it stems from ignorance.

Socialism and Communism share a lot of the same qualities, but are not identical. However, they are often confused with one another. I consider myself primarily a socialist, although certainly not a communist. However, to most people on this board, those two terms are completely synonymous.

"The goal of socialism is communism." -Vladimir Lenin

Bernie's actions have spoken louder than his words over his lifetime.

Sanders has advocated for Eugene debs, a man convicted for espionage and hailed by the Bolsheviks as "America's greatest Marxist." If you visit Sanders today, he still hangs a picture of debs in his Senate office.

Sanders, while mayor of Burlington, VT and during the height of the cold war, hung a soviet flag in his mayoral office.

Sanders openly supported many communist revolutions of his time including the sandinista govt in Nicaragua, the Castro regime in Cuba, and the Soviets.

The party that he helped found, the union party, called for the complete nationalizing of the banking system and the buying of all private utility companies.

And while this may be in jest, when he was mayor, he called the city's softball team the "people's Republic of Burlington" (this one I'll give a pass. It's kinda funny but I don't think he meant it ironically)

You see there is a difference between socialism and Communism but it's not the difference that Bernie Bros will state. What they're thinking of is the difference between democratic socialism (which is what every single communist state started as and what failing Venezuela has now) and a social democracy (which is what modern western nations have). Bernie is at the very least, a small c communist.

How do you eat an elephant? The ACA was the first bite. But like you said in another thread. We only have 11 more months of this assclown. I just wonder who he will pardon on his way out the door, how many EOs he will issue and if he will steal as much as Hillary did when she left.

You do know that Karl Marx was a staunch advocate of civilian gun ownership, right?

I believe just because something is difficult doesn't mean you shouldn't try to do something about it. If that were the analysis, then slavery wouldn't have been abolished and women wouldn't have the right to vote, which a lot of republicans would probably be okay with unfortunately.

Can you make one post without being a tool? Or will you just own up to being a troll?

I believe that every gun control activist should be asked to leave the country since it violates my conditional rights. This seems incredibly difficult but I guess by your logic we should try?

I will pony up two, one way tickets as long as they renounce US citizenship prior to boarding the plane. Anyone else want in on this?

Less than gwb on both counts.
