Gun control debate (merged)

Sounds like he was against carrying in public.

If you own 100 acres or a city lot or any tenaments .. that most certainly is in public , isn’t it ? Sounds like you ignored everything but that .

If that same ratio is true for guns being used appropriately, that leaves 4 million guns being used inappropriately.
Neither you nor I are in control of that. I'd love for them to be better trained, all the resources are out there and they could take advantage. It's not my place to tell others how to live and I tend to mind my own business. Until they infringe on my life and my liberty... Then it's game on.

Using whatever definition of “infringe” the leftists have invented, you would be correct. Leftists are experts at moving the goal posts and redefining traditional western civilization words and terms to fit their ideology.
Kind of like the word "leftist'?
Time moves goal posts.

Motives , agendas, money and a lack of self responsibility moves the goal posts . Let’s get rid of the guns so people will stop ..... (fill in the blank) .

By inappropriately I was referring more to criminals. Training has nothing to do with it.
I live with some simple personal truths:
The US has too many guns.
It is far to easy for people to illegally get their hands on legally purchased guns.
The level of gun violence in our nation is unconscionable.
There are rational and reasonable steps that could address all 3 of those truths.
The pro-gun crowd is neither rational nor reasonable.

None of those are true.

Guns aren’t “evil things” so saying there are too many is silly. It’s like saying there are too many cars or knives

It’s easy for criminals to get firearms just like it’s easy for them to get drugs, prostitutes, alcohol or tons of things that can get them in trouble. “Gun control” doesn’t keep criminals from getting firearms

Gun violence like all types of violence including rioting, assaults, vandalism, etc which some including yourself have tried to excuse or minimize is wrong. Except only about .0001% of all firearms are used in criminal acts and most of those is criminal on criminal crime or suicides.

You just made a perfect case for background checks and restrictions on voters . All
Of which are very rational and reasonable to address the dangers of voting without being vetted and approved . When you come around to that way of thinking about all rights I’m willing to talk about rational and reasonable guns laws .voting for the wrong person has killed more people than any illegal firearm . 🤷‍♂️

None of those are true.
All of those are true.
Are we going to jump from thread to thread saying:
is too
is not
is too
is not

I specifically stated that I had some simple personal truths.
I never expected you to agree, because if you did, you wouldn't currently have so many wrongheaded positions.

Haven't seen this level of posting hubris since D4H left.

I mean I get it...people gonna believe what they believe...but this is just straight up "The validity of my personal belief supersedes anyone that disagrees with me."

Give me a break
If it is not abundantly obvious that the opposing sides of this issue operate under different personal truths, then I don't know what to say. At least I claimed that it was my truth which is an acknowledgement that it is not everyone's.

If it is not abundantly obvious that the opposing sides of this issue operate under different personal truths, then I don't know what to say. It is equally obvious that each person believes their truth supersedes the other's. At least I claimed that it was my truth which is an acknowledgement that it is not everyone's.

Now if we wrongheaded people could just get you to actually read the Bill of rights instead of selectively scanning over the parts you don’t like and applying each right equally , We could fix a lot of those liberal tendencies you have .

I gave you a break ya idgit. Flat out said

"I mean I get it...people gonna believe what they believe"

but c'mon man...read what you posted. It quite literally reads in the manner I stated and I think you know that's the case. I just found the unambiguous and overt nature of the statement amusing.
