Go buy another gun. Maybe you can shoot the pandemic to death.
I think it's both.
Why does it bother you whether or not he buys another gun?
I knew it was coming and it’s going to get worse. Just think..... a lot of guys have only been out of work a week or two. Just wait until the bills start piling up.... the old lady starts really nagging.... the mother in law comes around more often....I saw a thread on Gunboards about this situation and one poster said he’s known as the gun guy in his family. One of his family members that thinks he’s a gun nut asked if he would simply give(not borrow) him a gun for protection. He said no and the guy got pissed off.
The police data from here shows thefts and shots fired calls are up 50% from this time last year. Domestics are up 25%. Nextdoor and Ring are full of notifications about stolen cars and people trying doors at night. There’s a big group of people out there with no school, no job, and nothing to do right now.
I don't. I think legally they could easily ban bumpstocks in a way that would pass constitutional muster like the "assault weapons" ban did. Where (and I hope it was purposeful) this EO can't be constitutional is they made a legally owned piece of property illegal to possess without a grandfather clause or recompense. If they can get away with doing it with bumpstocks they can get away with doing it to anything.

I'm more with you on this issue. Literally the point of the bump stock is to create a functional analogue to a "machine gun" but not involving the the fire control group which was where the standard limitations applied. This new approach basically just makes it a matter of law that if if X modification makes a semi-auto a full-auto then the fact it isn't via the FCG is a distinction without a difference. The property issue side just seems unconstitutional as hell.
I have one customer that shared some good news with me yesterday. Their orders have tripled due to the increased demand for groceries. They’re a label maker. It's 100% going to get worse.
