There are numerous things that could be done that would insure people's right to keep and bear arms while at the same time reducing the amount of gun violence.
This thread is about as enjoyable as rubbing the skin off of your leg with sandpaper, and even less productive.
Except the laws are most reactionary not preventiveLaws do effect behavior. I can guarantee you that I drive more slowly on some roads than I otherwise would if there were no speed limit. I guarantee many people would be more willing to have that third of fourth beer before they left the bar if DWI wasn't illegal.
Secondly, if one does have the will to kill or maim innocent people, I would much prefer they not have an AK-47 or nuclear warhead.
Agreed. #'s don't lie.Compare gun violence in our country and countries with stricter laws.
So says every mass murderer right before they go on a shooting spree.Banning my AR -15 nets you nothing . There is only one person effected , only one person loses rights , the community is not safer because my AR is no longer in my possession . You can’t prove that one life will be saved because I don’t have it . Society is not any safer because of a ban on my AR . Your side tried that once and the ban was lifted because you couldn’t show cause .
Go run your pie hole on a street corner or in your church about your irrational fear/hatred of an inanimate object. We won’t stop you or listen to you for that matter! Have fun! What about someone's right to free assembly, right to freedom of speech, right to worship, etc.? Are those rights less important than the "right" to unfettered firearms?
