I have shot a .44 DE and it sucks. Fired one round and I was done. And standing beside someone shooting it isn’t much better. You can feel the pressure wave off the muzzle when they fire. I don’t get the interest.

I've never even held one but would very much like to put a mag through one someday. Of course, I'm a knuckle dragging 500S&W owner so I'm probably too addled to notice recoil at this point.

Actually in an auto that weighs over 4lb I'm betting it's not that bad at all unless you really have a recoil aversion. OTOH a S&W 329PD at well under 2lb will make your hair stand on end. Same cartridge, vastly different shooting experience.

I just didn't care for the cannon going off 3 feet in front of my face. Fire shooting out the sides... things like that. It is cool though.
