Welcome back. I see you are still insane on some issues.

Between 1950 and 1990 we had a 60% population increase which was mostly urban without these issues.

Lack of fathers in the household/lazy parenting
Social/digital media
Social isolation
Subpar mental health system

Thought a quick drive by in honor of the lunacy of the gun control debate would be appropriate.
Then I guess you would conclude that the digital world and the 24/7 instant propaganda it provides may weigh more heavily.

Plus you would need to look at the decade by decade population increase with focus on the demographics of those increases.

Finally, increasing the number of mice in a cage from 3 to 6 will not have the same impact on group behavior as increasing the number from 6 to 12.....12 to 24.... and so on.

Even though the gun culture you are largely targetting and wanting to "not punish with common sense" would not fit either of those two categories as the problem

Meanwhile the gun culture we espouse would directly help with both of those issues without any violence or restrictions.

I believe there was a study don’t based on this berry scenario. It didn’t turn out like you would think.

For the people that actually know about guns and gun laws, what does TN say about carrying a gun, probably a pistol, in a state park?

I have found conflicting info. Some says you need a carry permit/conceal carry license. But others are saying it's fine.

It would purely be self defense.

I would go with this:

Handguns in Tennessee State Parks
Beginning July 1, 2021, Tennessee law generally allows people who are at least 21 to lawfully possess a handgun, openly or concealed. However, that law did not change the specific portion of the law (in Tennessee Code Annotated 39-17-1311(a)) which prohibits carrying guns or other weapons in Tennessee State Parks. Therefore, no one may carry a handgun in a Tennessee State park unless they have a concealed handgun permit or enhanced handgun permit or meet another exception to Tennessee Code Annotated 39-17-1311(a).

If you are able to carry you can carry inside a TN State Park.

Alright, another question for you Tennesseans and particularly Knoxvillians.

Does anyone know of a third party location where one could store their gun(s) for extended time?

And no, your house doesnt count.

Perhaps a firearms dealer, for a reasonable fee? Approx how many and for how long? I can find out for you. I know exactly who to ask.

I'm pretty sure they will require him to do a 4473 when he comes to pick them up if he goes to an FFL. Actually I doubt an FFL would store them for him, paperwork.

It would likely just be one, and it would be a consistent on/off thing. A couple days to a weak stored, pick it up, drop it back off maybe same day, store for a couple days, repeat.

I am not asking for myself, but this person wants protection while on hikes, but doesnt feel comfortable storing in an apartment.
