Good read. Definitely agree that this team will be much more fundamentally sound....

Agreed across the board with one exception...I think the 09 VOLS will add more than 2 wins over the 08 version. Per usual well thought out and well said. Thanks.

I could honestly see us winning 9-10 games in the regular season next year. I think it's a safe bet to expect a 4-0 record in OOC play. In addition to beating Vandy and UK, I think it's very safe to predict a home win over Auburn. That makes 7.

South Carolina is a home game and is, more likely than not, a win. We got blown out last year while playing under a dark cloud of distractions and with an offense that was never on track until the second half of the UK game. I think we can beat them at home next season. That would be 8.

Let's go ahead and mark road games at UF and Bama down as Ls. That leaves a home game with UGA and a road game at Ole Miss. I think 9-10 wins is a very reasonable prediction if we block and tackle better and find some consistency at QB. Kiffin will have a breakout game at some point - perhaps it will be UGA.

If we win at the Swamp, who knows what will happen next? I'm not setting my hopes that high just yet. We have a good ways to go.

• Who wants to coach at UT? That was a familiar refrain over the last few years. Apparently the job was a little more attractive than some UT fans had credited. When your “Potential Coach Big Board” is full of guys currently employed in the NFL, it is hard to doubt the relevancy of your program.

What a difference a year (and a new head coach) makes! Seems to be going a little bit better than the OC search last year.

Nicely done, as always.

The voice of reason speaks.

You would think Auburn would have learned more from the Petrino incident in how to hire a head coach. Let's give Hamilton due props for showing how a hiring should be conducted, and CLK some props for going at the staff hiring in a controlled steady manner.
