Lex, I've only been coming to this site for a couple of months. Your common sense approach to college football is refreshing. I enjoy your article's very much. Keep up the good work! THANKS. You are a true VOLUNTEER!

As I have posted before, I remember the excitement of CJM coming back to Knoxville and ran my relatively young mouth to the point it overloaded my rear end. However, I never gave up hope for the VOLS even during the lean years, and there were some so lean that a number of folks on this site who claim to be VOLS would have jumped ship (just my opinion based on a number of posts and threads over the last couple of years). I do hope CJM can reconcile himself before he passes on as he and his family (the same as CPF) are and have truly been great VOLS.

...If you get too wrapped up into Tennessee’s version of the Hatfields and the Mccoys, you are missing the point. The UT family <input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden">dinner table is a bountiful spread. In the end, maybe most fans will see that there is room at the UT <input name="IL_MARKER" type="hidden">dinner table for Johnny and Phil.

As good as you've ever been...

Good job Lex.

I would love to see Johnny and Phil come through the "T" with Lane this year.

It is something Pearl pulled off in the basketball world -- maybe.....

It is:

Neyland - The father will always sit at the head
Fulmer - The son who brought honor to the family (NC98)
Battle - The son who devoted himself to the family and was winning 76%
Barnhill - The man who took the reigns while Neyland was away and kept it running at 85%
Majors - The son who didn't quite fit the mold but did keep the pride up and won 3 SECs
Dickey - Another devoted son who kept us winning at 72% but never brought home the hardware

AND A TOAST TO THE NEWBORN SON
(and rising star{we hope})
Kiffin - The son who ruffled some feathers (but pumped life into this glorious program)
