Ban him for life, revoke his deploma, shame his name, excommunicate him from our VolNation. He is the ONE who voted against Peyton Manning in the MVP voting. Shame on him, his association with our proud University, and all that makes us Vols, Volunteers and the people who wear Orange. He is now guilty of wearing the ESPN lable. Probably guilty of the Fowler conspiracy. Let him rot in hades and never speak our proud name again. :finger:

You sure it was Woody Paige? I heard on Around the Horn that he did not even have a vote.

I always suspected that Woody was a little out there. If this is true, I know he is out there.

Perhaps he felt the PR from voting against the grain might raise his visibility. As they say, there's no such thing as bad PR

Forgive me, I live in the land of conspiracy. Why look for an obvious explanation when there's bound to be a much more likely one

I hope its not true I really enjoyed watching two Tennessee and Vanderbilt graduates argue in the morning over sports. I know Woody is half crazy but a least he is entertaining and he has always spoken well of Peyton in the past.

Yeah he graduated from Vanderbilt University and then started his sports career writing at the Miami Herald.

I heard Woody doesn't have a vote. I heard on AM today on the way to work the guys name who voted for Mike Vick and it wasn't Woddy. I like Woody and he always talks well about Peyton and UT, give the guy a break!

Well, lets see if that is a true statement.

O. J. Simpson: Nope, the last PR he got didn't do him much good.

Michael Jackson: Ditto

Ron Artest: See O. J.

Prince Harry: Heil No, I won't Go.

I'm thinking, if that's all the PR I can get, they can keep it.

I believe PR that labels you as a moron wouldn't help your journalistic carreer any.

But hey, that's just me. Check with O. J. and see if it's hurt his 1040s any. :D

It's been reported the last couple of days that the lone voter for Michael Vick was Mike O'Hara of the Detroit News. I heard him interviewed on ESPN radio today. Same argument you always hear about what MVP really means.

I guess somebody missed Woody's sarcasm . . . :D

Woody on ATH has been talking about how great Vick is and how the Falcons will win the SB this year for a year now, hes just trying to justify his stance.

Journalist with big ego's like Woody Paige have a very tough time admitting that they were wrong.

If the Falcoons win the Super Bowl, which they will not, he still would NOT be the MVP. This topic is tough to speak about without sounding like Rush Limbaugh. Oh well, guess I'm not wired to live in such a "politically correct" society. I'm gutting out this Michelle Wie crap on tv right now. When she can win an AJGA event, a USGA Junior Amateur(which she has not), or anything for that matter maybe she could consider moving up a level. For now, remember SHE is female, 15 and in way over her head. :twocents:

Don't even get me started on Michelle Wie. Way over her head doesn't begin to explain it. They are exploiting the daylights out of that poor girl . . .

she is not turning it down though. she wants to play in the "masters." Tell her to call Dothan, Alabama and sign up for the JR Masters.

I thought people play in tournaments when they think they have a shot of winning. My mom's boyfriend is a better golfer than she is... Granted, he's damned good (scratch, usually), but still!
