I quote some very popular movies, Behr claims that I'm mad (predictable), and some of you scratch your heads as if I'm posting in Cyrillic languages...

Well, maybe @vollygirl deletes some of my posts because she truly wants me to be the better person I can be (sorry if I disappoint you at times, volly), but that's all well and good.

The bottom line is, being mean to folks who are coping with serious challenges IRL ain't kosher. Even IDGAF himself would call someone out for that (or, at least, we want to believe that he would).

Here's what kills me. Freak started this website, what, 15 years ago? 2004 I think? And it's free. Everybody is welcome. As long as you follow the rules. It doesn't matter if you like or agree with the rules. It doesn't matter if you feel like you aren't being treated fair cause you can't cuss here. This site doesn't belong to you, and you aren't required to be here.

Is cursing that big an issue really?
I’m in construction and my language is colorful. I talk to text a lot. Sometimes it gets bye here but I try to clean it up when I catch it (if freaks filter doesn’t get it)
I’m surprised that some make that an issue.
The deleted posts seems to bother people too.
If mine get deleted I either repost edited so no rules are broken or move on.

It doesn't matter if it's a big deal to me or not, inappropriate language is something you're asked not to use here. That's the point I was making.

I'm not a fan of cursing, but I don't think of it as an issue. I don't use it in my every day talk nor do I care to hear or read it. Sure, every once in awhile, no big deal, but specifically planting one of those words in every sentence is a filler word and unnecessary.

Oh I agree.
I just don’t understand those that think using “family friendly” language is such a unreasonable hardship.

Edit: I was in agreement earlier. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.

Let me try one more time.

I curse a lot
In construction that’s how we talk.
Right wrong or otherwise.
It’s not a big deal to try and clean it up in places where that language isn’t appropriate.
I don’t know why people would ***** about it here.

All this rules talk is pretty stiff. It sounds like we’re at boarding school up in here or something. Lol.

Nobody is running around here with our list of rules on one monitor while scrutinizing posts on another, hoping for a gotcha moment. Just try to keep it classy and don’t act like a jackwagon. I struggle with both sometimes, personally, but I’m working on it. 😬

As to Volly’s point, I realized long ago we can’t be all things to all people. Some people prefer an anything goes environment, and I can totally appreciate and understand that. Truly I can. If that’s the case, though, VolNation probably isn’t for you. That doesn’t make you a bad person or earn you any ill will from me. Our community just isn’t for you. It’s not the end of the world for anyone.

Anyway, I’m moving on. You people are being way too serious in this thread for my taste. Lol.

Funny thing about cursing and some of our guidelines here. I had small kids when I started this site. One of which was a young male vol fan who, as he aged, liked to get on here and read about the Vols. Probably because he saw me doing it. Selfishly, that was a big part of my initial motivation.
