Butch jones has proven he has loyalty to players, even if they aren't the best player in that position

I've seen a lot of people say we will be better next year because of JG. Im not so sure he will start at all. Flame away, but I'm not excited about QD leading the way next year. We need a dynamic QB in this offense

who knows, i find it hard to believe the best players won't be on the field. the redshirt wont be an issue next season but you never know, it has happened before.

Guarantano will be our starting QB next year. He fits this offense better than Dormady. Plus from everything I hear, he is an exceptional talent. CBJ will go through Spring practice without naming a clear starter because he needs both Dormady and Guarantano to be here next season.

OK, so Coach Jones is loyal to his players, but he won't play JG? You do realize JG is one of his players, right?

Dobbs fit the offense better than Worley and Peterman, but CBJ passed on him twice. The same will happen with QD over JG.

I'm pretty sure Butch knows who fits his "system"...which is more flexible than many give it credit for. He's likely to pick the guy he thinks brings the most to the table....which may or may not be JG. The preconceived notions of the fans be damned.

Many of y'all don't appreciate Dobbs but you will next season when he's gone.

I'm pretty sure nobody that posts on Volnation has a clue who will or won't be playing next week much less next year. And I'm damn sure nobody that posts here has a clue who should or shouldn't be playing.

Doesn't matter who is starting. As long as Debord is calling the plays, you gonna see the same natargic, boring arse, run up the middle play calling as you saw 90% of the time this year. I know, I know, "but we had over 609 yard of total offense yesterday". Blah blah blah........Defend him all you want but the bottom line is against inferior teams, we were studs. Against Alabama, Fla, Georgia and dare I say South Cacklacky, the play calling was notorious! Yeah and I get it, "it's Butch's system"........... WHATEVER! Debord is the O-Coordinator and the game planner. He is up in the box with a better view to see what the Defense is showing. HE CALLS THE PLAYS!!!!
College ball past him by YEARS ago and he is out of his element! I hope changes are made this off season and I pray he is part of those changes! Now, Shoop.......... you have next year. Get it fixed! After that, your subject for the same ridicule! Here's to the rest of this season and hopefully a 10-3 record. Who starts next year.........? Who cares! Just go out and play 60 mins of Dynamic, competitive, fun watching, aggressive college football and everything else will take care of itself.

Debord is running Butch system. It's why Butch hired his friend to be OC. You can change OC's all you want but Butch runs the offense.

I listened to this board on Kongbo being all everything. he's barely playing.
same with Kahil he was so so for a freshman good enough but not like the ultra hype here
JG stats for running HS sr. year...83 carries for 2.5 yards a carry.
QD stats for running HS Sr. year...65 carries for 4.0 yards per carry.
If you think a running QB is best for system we are hurting.
Not counting on this board I'll just let spring play out then watch everyone say the backup is better.

Butch may be too loyal to some players like he was with Hurd, but you picked the wrong player to make your argument. Butch's ties to the Guarantano family would make him much more loyal to JG than QD. If JG is the better QB in practice, then he will start.
