Johnny has messed up, but everyone deserves a second chance. He realizes his mistakes and what he's lost. Maybe JG is giving encouragement to him. Maybe Johnny sees how hungry that JG is and he's feeding off of him. Regardless of his failures in the NFL (on/off field), he played well in college and beat Bama.

:eek:lol: Funny.

But, yeah, I'm sure glad for all the 2nd, 3rd, and 54th chances I've gotten in life,

In the the few games that QD has played in he seems to mostly struggle.

JD has not played in any games, so he is still a bit of a mystery. But, QD has left the door wide open for him.

If JG is the talent that he's supposed to be, then he will have no problems beating out QD.

When did QD struggle? He should've been given more playing opportunities the last two seasons, but we struggled with crap teams so his chances to play were limited. Only twice has he played enough to attempt more than 5 passes and he's thrown the ball very well on those occasions.

Fact is, qb competition was gonna be wide open this year no matter what since Dobbs graduated. Should be fun to watch. Hope Jones manages it correctly.

The problem is that Johnny could get away with things at AM. NCAA will totally screw us for any sniff of a problem at UT. This is not a good development imo.

We make too much money for them at this point. They are too preoccupied with Ole Miss at the moment.

If we just hired him to improve the QB play, shouldn't they all be working with HIM this summer?

Dobbs and Worley went and worked with this Whitfield guy in the past, and they didn't get strung out on drugs. It's all in the article in another thread.

Everything is gonna be okay.

The NCAA dictates how much interaction the coaches can have with players during the off season. It is very minimal. They work out, student assistants video the work outs, the coaches watch the videos, and relay coaching to the players. It's a bunch of NCAA B.S. rules.

You know that it's against NCAA rules for our coaches to work with the players right now? Only allowed contact is S&C.

Do you really think we follow the rules you show me a team that follow the rules and you will see a loser.:eek:hmy:
