Guarantano Tweet

Oh well, if he wants to leave then he can leave. Tweet was most likely because he hasn’t been home in a while, but if it wasn’t and it was regarding transferring, oh well. Anybody is replaceable.

Headlines make you leap to speculation, only to find that he's tweeting that he's missing home. That's a pretty big "reach" to give cause to an article written just for CLICKS. SMH.

Honestly, JG’s only real fault last year was holding the ball too long and taking too many sacks. We all saw it. He doesn’t do that, over and over again, and he doesn’t get the hate that he’s consistently gotten

Maybe, but that doesn't mean he suddenly makes the correct reads, his receivers get separation quick enough, or that his overall passing and rushing abilities are suddenly on par with any top-tier SEC QB.

Even against sub-par defenses, he wasn't very good, he just wasn't as bad as he was against Georgia and Alabama.

He may end up being the starter if he wins out over Chryst, but that still may not mean that he's wholly improved over last season.

18/23 for 242 isn't good? 9/13 isn't good? 239 vs LSU with a 158 rating isn't good? :crazy::crazy:

He played better as the year went on. He played well every game he started. He was also 6/7 vs UGA.

This all as a freshman. How many QBs were 65% vs SEC teams as a freshman and also had multiple 200 yard games?

If you want to cherry-pick stats let's just tout that 85% completion rating against Georgia, and crown him the starter now.

Jake Bentley was 67.9% against conference opponents, and averaged 200+ YPG the entire 2016 season.

I know you like JG, but it take a lot of spinning to try to make his performance last year something to tout as a clear indicator of success moving forward.

Isn't Bentley considered one of the top SEC QBs right now though? In his starts he was close to 200 a game.

You think Peyton wasn't a SEC qb after his first year?
On a much better team he had 200 more yards in two more games. About the ypa and completion percentage.

And you didn't answer my question. You said he wasn't good in his starts. So all those high passer rating and completion percentages were not good performances for a freshman?

Lol. That's is why is I don't follow players or recruits. It's creepy for a bunch of grown men to hang on these kids tweets.

He is the favorite. I could see him leaving if Chryst comes and take a the job in the fall. That would be a shocker though.

No it wouldn't
