If you cant handle the heat... Get out of the kitchen. If he doesn't like having to compete for his job how is he going to handle competing on Saturday?

He also may tired of the 100% humidity.

I miss New Jersey = transfer speculation???

Y'all need mood stabilizing medication. I've seen 13 year old girls more secure.

Enhance your calm.

Good grief...... context people. Don't jump all over him for wanting to go home for a few days.

I saw a tweet from JG a couple months ago saying he doesn't like corn bread. Obviously he hates the new head coach amirite?

So you’re ok if he leaves to go home for a few days to visit his home, parents, siblings, friends. Is it ok with you that he comes back to Knoxville and go to school and play football when he’s done visiting his hometown or nah?

And how in God’s name is it whining to say he misses his hometown?

Lol. That's is why is I don't follow players or recruits. It's creepy for a bunch of grown men to hang on these kids tweets.

He is the favorite. I could see him leaving if Chryst comes and take a the job in the fall. That would be a shocker though.

No lie. This is completely ridiculous.

Yea some stuff gets blown way out of proportion on here. Although I have been to New Jersey and not sure why anyone could miss that state lol..But it's his home.

My first guess has nothing to do with him contemplating a transfer.

The oven just turned on in Tennessee's climate. Hot and humid, temps in the 80s and 90s.

Best first guess is he misses the more moderate summer climate of his home state.

So sure, those of you talking about him not liking the "heat," you're right. But it's not the heat of a competition for the starting job. Pfffft.

Just a guess. But I'd put a little money on it.

But how does it rank versus Kongbo hanging up the soccer cleats, that's the real question.

Two totally different deals imho. In hindsight, as has been reported, the Kongbo situation was real, and Jones and company had to come up with the FIFA excuse after persuading Kongbo to not leave the program. Another deal by Lyle of making promises to a player that he couldn’t/wouldn’t keep.....Kongbo was promised he’d play DE, got moved to DT out of necessity, didn’t like playing DT, was ready to leave, sent out the tweet...

Perhaps there’s more to the JG deal and one day we’ll hear something similar to the Kongbo deal after the fact. But right now all we got is a tweet from a Jersey kid who hasn’t been home since last Christmas. Not sure how/why people equate the two at this point, other than a whole lotta fans heap a whole lotta dislike on Tennessee QBs not named Manning, and even he got a handful of it when he was a freshman and for “not beating Florida”.....and as we’ve already seen with JG, people are chomping at the bit to crush this kid

Some people share every passing thought on social media. Therefore, reading into every post of 18-22 year olds and trying to draw reasonable conclusions is futile. Whatever happens, happens.

In a season or two, players are going to flock to UT cuz we gon' be rollin!

I saw JG out the other day and he had white shoes on. I thought to myself “Bama’s colors are Crimson and WHITE”

I went up to him and cussed him out. I told him if he wants to leave then pack his stuff and go. Then I drank a beer and bought a new wife-beater.
