Jarrett Guarantano promises a 'magical 35 days' to end Tennessee's season

On offense any team needs a QB with nerves of steel, solid football IQ, strong arm, and a field general that can take charge vocally in the game on the field/sideline/practice. The kid is trying to take that role regardless of who Tennessee’s head coach is. This is promising for this fragile team and a great selling point for HC candidates moving forward.

Proud of this young VFL.

Kid earned ALOT of respect from me yesterday. He’s got balls and a lot of grit. That can go a looonnggggg way with the right coach.

JG has the ability and grit to be really, really good here. Needs an OL and a play caller who can actually spring WR’s open.

Earned respect the last two games. Keeps bringing intensity. Just have to smooth the rough edges and yes, that means coaching.

I agree with all the comments here. The poor kid was under assault yesterday and kept fighting to the end. He could be very good for us if he lives throthis season.

If they would roll him out more. . .

WTH is wrong with our coaches?

He should be like James Vanderbeek in Varsity Blues. Make up his own plays in a huddle and get yardage while Butch is yelling over on the sidelines.

He's tough. He's so far behind. Butch was going to roll with Dormady all year until he was just as terrible as his shatty offensive scheme. Kid deserves a better coach and scheme. Whole team deserves it.

Young man has heart, toughness and lots of talent. All he needs is some good coaching to be a real play maker IMO

Disagree. I think he's terrible!

Let me clarify. He is tough but that does not mean he's worth a crap. He's not as fast as Dobbs or doesn't seem to be. He seriously stares down 1 receiver and never moves off him. Can't blame all that on the coaching, they teach you this in HS. In 2 1/2 games 0 TD's. The D has more TD's than him. You can't blame all the problems on everyone else. QD was getting the team in the end zone through the Florida game.

He's just not that good! Sorry....

I'm for Guarantano...he's a freshman with apparently 'NO COLLEGE COACHING'...atleast he is trying to rally to troops and give them some hope...it gives me a little hope, because right now ANYTHING is better than NOTHING...TRUE VFL
