Guarantano Is All In

I don’t think we know anything about our offensive skill talent because they have been so poorly coached since they’ve been here.

He also was playing on a bad ankle, which hurt his mobility the last 2 games. Not Josh Dobbs mobility but has a rocket for an arm

Guarantano would like a coach that puts together a great offensive line. That’s what he wants!

Jarrett Guarantano on Tennessee's upcoming coach hire: 'If nobody likes it, they can just leave'

Hey, this guy came to Tennessee because of his and his family's relationship with Butch. Now, looks like he's all Vol.

This guy will end up being a Tennessee legend, I'll bet. I like Guarantano. He is intense and all Vol!

Yeah. Let a coach come in that doesn't favor his style of play... and he's gone.

He is a very physically gifted QB but his mental development is way, way behind. He probably won't be the starter next year and if he's not... we've seen how "all in" he is.

He needs to start by living in a weight room and gain 15-20 lbs of muscle before next yr. and demand his teammates do like wise.

Not being a smarta$$, but I question if he has the tools.

He is a one read guy. Perhaps can be coached up.

He has a strong, accurate arm and he appears to be tough as nails. And I like his leadership skills. But he lacks a lot of other intangibles needed to play QB in the SEC at a high level. Can he be coached up by the next staff? He damn well better be because he’s all we got at QB unless Penix or Martinez proves to be a special freshman....that is if either actually comes to Tennessee after what they’ve seen this season. I know I wouldn’t.

He hold on the ball to long

He doesn’t trust what he sees. He needs to be coached by a legit head and QB coach....clearly he hasn’t gotten that.

You can see his talent, he just doesn’t have good pocket awareness and general instincts as qb needs for success. But his arm is live and accurate and if he gets the coaching he needs and quite honestly deserves, I think he could be a good SEC QB. Plenty of work to do though.

I think we are going to say the same things about JG that we said about Dobbs. What could have been if these guys had a real coaching staff?

There's a lot to like about Guarantano. A lot of talent in that right arm and you can't question his effort. I think he can be a big time QB with the right coach. The folks who are ripping him and think McBride is better are flat out stupid.

Absolutely agree.

A lot to like about this kid.
