Just picked this up the other night to have something to play other than sports. Does anyone have any tips, hints, tricks, etc.? Thanks

 Somebody in here discovered a game that's not NCAA 07!

Umm, in gun fights, always stay low, use cover, keep moving. You stand straight up in the open and don't move, you're dead.

Also, try and beat the story mode without cheating. It's way more satisfying.

Anything else... Keep CJ fit, work out as much as possible. Get him ripped. You can take a lot more damage, and get insane strong w/ melee.

Fun game. I had borrowed a friends copy when it first came out and had never gotten around to buying it. It is crazy how much time you can spend driving around and not realize it.

Yep. I remember getting a good 150 hours out of it when I picked it up. I still bust it out every now and then and just wander around. Grand Theft Auto III games still give me the same sense of wonder and amazement as the first new-gen games, like Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That's when you know you're playing a deep game, when you're actually compelled to play by something other than pretty graphics or a means to kill time.

It is amazing what they can do with video games these days. Just think what they will be doing with them in 15-20 years.

The real question is how do you play two player on it? The box says 1-2 players?

It's there, but fairly limited... You go around, there are two-player icons around San Andreas. You hit them and it initiates various missions. I've never done it myself, though.

Eh, 2 players missions really arent worth it..its basically a "rampage" from GTA 1 and 2, only with another person. And I miss this game, I've been thinking of playing it for awhile, but I'm wrapped up in NCAA and Madden.

I like the big tall building that is in downtown that you can go up to the top of and there is a parachute up there and you can parachute off of there. Last time I went up there I forgot to get the parachute before I jumped. Funny stuff.

I like rolling off the side of that giant mountain with a bicycle- to see how long I can stay up

Haven't tried that yet. Every time I turn the game on I have the intentions of doing missions and end up spending my time doing stupid stuff on there.

Speaking of San Andreas, I recenty attained 50,000 kills. My goal is to get one million. It will take several years.

I still get my kicks playing Vice City. Thought about picking up San Andreas in the past but never have. Is it better than Vice City? I heard you can actually swim on this one.

Yep. Opens the world wide up. Basically, with the progressions of GTA III to GTA: VC to GTA: SA, it's the same game, but with huge leaps and bounds forward in each. Vice City was brilliant (as was III), but once you finish with that one, you gotta get San Andreas.
