That LSU defense kind of look just like ours for the last couple of seasons lol ;) What was Wash 3/down efficient ratting? 75%+?

As Hat said in a previous thread, The "Attitude Era" of Tennessee football has begun. Team Kiffin will not let up against UCLA. The players will not let up against UCLA. I'm sure they still remember the difficult plane ride home last year.

Orgeron said on The Lane Kiffin Show something to the effect of; you will not find anyone who wants to beat UCLA more than Lane Kiffin and Ed Orgeron.

I like it!

Did you not feel a bit sad for LSU last night.

Predictable blitz.
Over pursuit, leads to huge gains.
Awful on 3rd and long.

You can guarantee, Chavis would have given the toppers about 95 rushing and 200 passing. Coach O I think is still pi..ed about the one drive for a score.

Yeah, every time Washington was in a third and long position, I started talking (loudly, so the LSU fans near us could hear) about "3rd and Chavis".

It was pretty funny when these LSU guys were like "how the hell does this Washington fan know so much about our D coordinator".

Hahaha very nice. I was on ESPN looking at some articles about the LSU game. Many of the LSU fans conceded that the "UT fans were right about Chavis." Im so glad Monte is on our sideline :good!:

I like have all these grudge matches - makes everyone try harder and they never give up.

An to an earlier poster, no way Kiffin ever abandons the run. He knows that this offense biggest weapon is the RBs. He will run right over people and will use the run to set up the pass. Crompton will be a great QB if he has the support of a great running game.

And in a game against a better opponent, like Florida, a good run game can balance things out. Allows you to control the game and keep the other team off the field. We all know the stat that whatever team has the most rushing yards normally wins. Well, I guarantee you that this year, UT will have more rushing yards than Florida. UT will probably have more rushing yards than every opponent. And that is SEC football at its finest and the way it should be.

A great run game combined with a stout defense is a key for a successful year.

I've been waiting for this game since their players taunted our fans immediately following the game last year.

I never even thought about Chow, CLK and CEO working together at USC. If anyone knows a Chow offense it's gonna be Tennessee, but I guess that cuts both ways.

Saw that too. Love it.

The change in staff couldn't have come at a better time in this regard (playing UCLA).

Payback is a *****.

I'll never forget the smug ****-eating grin on Chow's face in the second half of last year's UCLA game. I hope we shut them out.

agreed. him laughing up in the press box last year while chavis stood down there on the sidelines playing "cushion defense" the entire 3rd and 4th quarter has been burned into my memory.

It's about time we got a coach that doesn't let up at the end, I like the new attitude

Me too. If they had been held to a fg I would've won the pick the score contest.
