This reminds me of the previous two coaching searches, ONLY we didn't still have a head coach.

I don't know if it ever happens or not. I do believe there was more too it last time than Hart and the adminstration lead on though. I think there was at least some interest, and I don't think the powers to be at the time really wanted to go that route. I do know one thing, I have pulled for the Vols a long time and there are other people that can win big here. But I get the chills thinking about the excitement and potential a Gruden hire would bring. And I still say why nothing is a sure thing, that is a hire I could say UT didn't pull any punches on. No doubt no hire is going to be 100% approved by a entire fan base. And nothing is a sure thing. But no doubt most of this fan base would be excited. But no matter what, I think the administration will make a sincere effort to get the best candidate possible this time around. Just my thoughts tonight. GBO!!!!!!

Gruden really needs to make a public announcement about coaching at Tennessee. Either accept the job or state that he will never come here under any circumstances.

Finebaum is a douchenozzel. However, I do find it strange that he said this. I mean he could be just creating drama, I get that. But it is not out of the realm of possibility that what he said is true.

What if, and its a big IF, the powers that be at Tennessee have finally had enough? What if Currie has talked with them and convinced them that they need to go all in for Gruden? Not saying it will happen, but what if? Now I am a Gruden critic. But people on here have made some pretty good arguments about why he would be successful. His football IQ is off the charts. Dude knows his QB stuff. And I do believe he would assemble a great staff and that would likely be the biggest key.

Hell people, it could be a Merry Grudenmas this year. Ya never know.

Factual Integrity?? He hosts a glorified talk radio show. His show is all about opinions and generating viewership and phone calls. What better way to do that than put out there the suggestion that Jon Gruden to Tennessee may not be so far-fetched?

He's not coming, the door was wide open for him when Dooley was fired. There's no reason for him to give up his current job to coach college football where he has to recruit and assemble a staff.

The landscape, and leadership is significantly different now. We know why it didn't happen before. I don't know that it will happen this time, but it won't be for any impediments in Curries way.

He's ran a campaign and hasn't said very much at all.
