Gruden hasn’t coached in how long? He has Zero experience as a college HC and even less experience as college coach of any kind in today’s game.

So even if he did come here it would still take a couple years since we have a roster full of undeveloped players that are setup for a spread option. He most certainly would run a pro style O and we all know how great our prostyle QB is right now. Our Oline has never been taught how to play big time college football. So while most good coaches walk in and produce by year 3, he would only be getting players developed properly and finally getting his players for his system. By then, in today’s immediate gratification world, he would be seen as another mediocre UT coach that we paid way too much for.

Honestly I’d prefer we go hard at Frost and make gruden the guy if Kelly, Patterson and Frost all turn us down in that order. He would make a great hire if we couldn’t get someone with success is modern college football first.

Some say recruiting will be his weak spot. Have i missed something. People gravitate toward him. He weare that super bowl ring and will say what kids want to hear without him saying a word. He will not have problems recruiting. That is if we we somehiw pry him away from sportscasting.

We are in much better shape than we were in 2012 and Gruden would be given a mile long leash from the fans. Come on Gruden, Make Tennessee Great Again
