Please explain to me why Jon Gruden would want to coach anywhere in the SEC right now. Why would he? Why UT? Don't give me cheerleader stories or he owns land. That means nothing. Tell me why he would want to do it...to take on all the pressure and the struggle. It is a very hard job. I'm not saying it is not true or if he is visiting it doesn't mean something. I am asking you to think it through. Why would he do it? He has one of the best jobs around right now. He get's to second guess coaches and players on a national stage. If he is coaching, the get's reversed. Now the nation is second guessing his every move and if he doesn't win right away...his legacy take a hit.
I hope it means nothing because UT wins HUGE today on ESPN!!!
Well if Dooley was HC for roughly as many games as Gruden, he would be 93-114. You say "wow that's terrible compared to Grudens 95-81", but consider that Saban is 168-71 right now.
Sorry girls Gruden is not the savior of the Volunteers.

You may be right about Gruden, but there's hardly concrete evidence that he will be mediocre. He could also be terrible or fantastic. Only God and Saban know.
