Not all NFL coaches can coach college athletes. Bill Callahan made the mistake of going to Nebraska to try that. He made it to one Super Bowl.

That is the real question, not the other crap about him not being a good coach. I think he would do fine for the following reasons:

QB Guru - Can help our QB's grow and get them to NFL which will bring in better players
Recruit - He known commodity from the NFL and from ESPN. That will give us help with recruiting
Staff - He will bring in a top staff with College experience to fill the gap.

Finally, he is a Tennessee Vols guy with a Tennessee Vols Wife.

He was a Grad Assistant here, Talks about the program and visits that players like this year, and married a Tennessee Vols Cheerleader.

Seems like his invested in Tennessee to me.

He was also a wide receivers coach University of the Pacific..guess that makes him a University of the Pacific guy
