I do the no shave November for duck season. It is amazing the difference a beard makes when it gets cold. My job prevents me from getting too crazy with it so I use the trimmer when I need to have it shorter. I don't use a razor until Feb. Posted via VolNation Mobile
had a beard on and off for the last several years .. luv using a trimmer w/ the guard to knock it back .. I've been shaving it all off lately just to remember how to do it .. ie. not cut myself up
For the life of me, I can't grow a full beard. It comes in crazy thick all under my chin/face, but terribly thin at the mustache and sides, and not at all at the corners of my mouth.
I have a patchy/non-thick beard...thing. I can grow the chin part of a goatee pretty well but the stache and rest of the beard is a bit patchy or at the least not very think. I grow enough of one that I guess it qualifies but I'm not sure I could ever grow a Grizzly Adams type beard.
Even though it's scraggly, I still keep one because when I'm cleanly shaven, I look like I'm about 21 (I'm 35).
Don't think I've been clean shaven since summer time of 2007. Work doesn't allow me to let it go unchecked for too long but there are certain times of the year where I rarely see clients and I can go weeks at a time without even a trim, can get pretty strong during those periods.
I can't grow one and it pisses me off, when I don't shave it just grows all scraggly but oh well. Hopefully one of these days I can get to the point where I can grow a full beard. I compensated by growing my hair out.
