Groomsmen gifts

I've gotten a tie, a round of golf, my tux paid for (it was close to a $200 rental), and a free round of hooter's hot wings. The round of golf and the tux rental were my favorites.

Is it considered bad etiquette if I don't make my buddies that have had me in their wedding a groomsman?

I would say no. I recently went to a wedding for one of my groomsmen and wasn't a groomsman ... no problems here. I would say you do have to invite them, but I'm sure you were doing that anyway.

yeah, they'll definitely get invited and most will be groomsman, but I just wondered because this summer will mark my 5th time being a groomsman.

So I'm getting married in March and have no clue what to get my groomsmen.

Anyone have any ideas? I was looking at jerseys of everyone's favorite sports teams but just can't find it in me to buy an Alabama jersey.

Also, my best man is getting tickets to the UT-Florida game this season along with a regular gift.

Wait, wait, wait I missed this the first time. What the heck are you doing with a bammer in your wedding party? :yikes:

i had a buddy call me and ask my forgiveness for not putting me in his wedding because the wife insisted that he put her brother in. I told him it was the best gift he could give me. No rental. No responsibilities. A++. It's up to women to get pissy like that. A man should be happy to not be in a wedding. As for the gift, i already have 2 sets of monogramed mugs. maybe something different :dunno:

Have you come up with gifts yet?

I'm getting married in May and I'm trying to help my fiance since I doubt he'll do this on his own! We have 5 guys in the wedding... all Vols and one Bama fan!! I'd like to get them (minus the one) something personalized and some UT keepsake. I'm lost on what to get but have 3 months to figure this out!

Any good sites for collegiate gifts?

Getting married in May so I'm just kinda searching around right now. I have 9, yep 9, groomsmen:crazy:. I have three sisters and my fiance wanted them in it so that pushed her number from 6 to 9 and I had to match it. So I'm not really lookin to break the bank since there are so many. We're buying the ties, other than that I'm coming up blank since I don't really want to go the flasks/cooler route.

oh yea, there are 5 UT, 2 Memphis, 1 Miss State, and 1 UGA...and one doesn't drink. TIA

I'm the best man in a wedding this coming weekend.

I have no clue what (if anything) I'm getting, but I made the groom 50 bottles of home-brewed Irish Red beer for his bachelor party...

I gave my groomsmen money clips, and my ushers cuff links. I have received cuff links, a couple of flasks, and a pocket knife.

Personalized is good. Something they can actually use is good. Something they would never buy for themselves is good. If you can get 2 out of the 3, I'd say you beat most.

The point of the gift is to thank your groomsmen for standing up with you. Remember to convey that, and I'm sure you will come up with something appropriate.

I gave them a Buck knife with their name engraved on the blade. I was really mad I didn't order one for myself

I gave my buddies the Leatherman Wave utility knife in custom leather cases. They all still remind me how much they use it and thought it was one of the better gifts they ever got.

My brother-in-law got us personalized Louisville Sluggers. It's been the best groomsman gift I've seen so far, even though some of us are not much of baseball fans.
