I'm watching this ZZTOP concert on tv and that reminds me of a story a good friend of my father told. Back in the 70's ZZ showed up in little ol Russellville, Ky one night and played at a old tobacco warehouse on main street. Which reminds me of a couple of years ago when I was down town Nashville at a bar called the stage on broadway and kid rock poped in a sang 3 or 4 songs. Which reminds me of another story my father told that back in the 60's right here in Springfield right up the street from where my father grew up at, Jimi Hendrix played at a juke joint called the king & queens lounge

Could it have been Frutti's Club?

What you know about frutti's club? I'll have to call my pops and see if it was frutti's. Both of them was on Richards street. Let me call my pops

Sure it wasn't the tutti frutti club on Little Richards street?

Ok sly pop said he couldn't remember exactly it was at either place. My grandmothers neighbors mrs nayola and ford ran frutti's that was their oldest sons nickname idk why. The king and queens was on the corner of Richards street and 13th (now central ave) and frutti's was on 13th on main st. But I've heard the king & queens several times so idk. It's getting past pops bed time anyway lol

Pops needs to be a night owl like us. Pretty sure it was Frutti's, but that was 45 years ago.
