Say we beat Bama and South Carolina beat Florida wouldn’t that make the Tennessee South Carolina game have a bigger viewing audienceIt's hard not to get all "conspiracy theory" about it, but think, if USCe beats Florida, the Florida Georgia game is meaningless. Less viewers, less last minute ad revenue. If we pull off an upset against Alabama, the Alabama LSU game is less-meaningful, the vegas odds swing in LSU's favor, less people watch because Alabama lost to us so they must lose to LSU, so why watch?
It's in the SEC and the NCAA's best financial interest for those games to go just like the bad/no-calls dictated.
Everything SEC commissioner Greg Sankey said about officiating. Twitter wasn't kind
Vote him out. This was the weakest statement that I’ve ever seen before!
Now that the official from the sideline judge about being a Bama fan came out, and no response from him on that?![]()
I didn’t really care about him when I found out who he was, and where he came from. I had a feeling though that sooner or later, something like this was going to happen. What makes anyone think otherwise? It seems that it has gotten bad over the past 2 weeks of officials making bad calls, and then the statement he made today, that indicated no changes coming, except for more headache for certain teams.I’ve always thought Greg Sankey was a weak, politically correct commissioner that never has the you know what to speak the truth. I never have to read anything he says about anything because you know he will always say the most politically correct thing possible. Possibly the most gutless, overrated, overpaid commish in the country. Pathetic.
i don’t know who can do anything about it, unless most AD’s can get together to force him out. Is there anyone else can do it? Can SEC fans start putting the pressure on him to resign? I thought we had the power as fans to change that crooked office that he is in?Time to carry a big stick like ole Buford Pusser (sp?) did in back in the day (walking tall) and start swinging at these corrupt SEC officials to ‘clean up the town’. They should start with this clown Sankey.
I just can’t get over it and I’m probably irritating people with my multiple posts on it, but how are we not supposed to come to this conclusion? I’m apologize if people are getting sick of me, but this should be important and goes at the very foundation of the integrity of the conference.
It really does need to be looked into.
I would be more likely to watch it
Instead of just checking the score
Maybe for the national audience but as a Tennessee fan I won’t be watching any other team in the conference play and as long as the bias keeps up I’ll just check on the scores of Tennessee teams. You are a UT fan. They are looking at matchups that would maximize a viewing audience, which includes general college football viewers who aren’t necessarily fans of either team.
The numbers for a matchup with an undefeated LSU against an undefeated Bama would be vastly superior to any increase in a game between UT and USC.
Yep, normally this would be glossed over and on to the next one. But the SEC office finally jumped the shark this past week and now the jig is upStandard corporate we're doing our absolute bestest all the time mumbo jumbo.
The only real takeaway for us is that he felt the need to issue a statement in the first place.
Let's you know the heat is getting jacked up.
This guy is worthless like the SEC officials. He’s not listening!Everything SEC commissioner Greg Sankey said about officiating. Twitter wasn't kind
