Greg McElroy on SEC Now: Alvin Kamara = best player on Tennessee....Cam Sutton is #2

Hard to lead a team down the field when your SR QB leads the league in turnovers. And the "Calvin Johnson" of RB's just lays down and quits on you.

I forgot about the Johnson reference he made about Hurd. Laughable. Especially since he wont even be playing RB anymore.

NFL ceiling not as high as those 2. Barnett has definitely been our best performer this year. But he isn't our best player. That distinction goes to Cam Sutton or Alvin Kamara.

I try not to judge people without knowing them but you are the exception. You might be the dumbest person to ever post on this board. You constantly change your opinion so why not change teams ETSU needs a person to post on their board have at it.

Barnett is the heart and soul of the defense but he is a bit of a tweener at the next level so it may get him knocked down a few spots. Still first round but I don't see the top 10. He doesn't have quite the length or size for a true DE at the next level.

Maybin and Sutton will get dinged for the injuries and Kamara gets dinged for being a RB which has been devalued in the NFL for the most part.

Unless it's a Gurley, Elliott, or Fournette, teams aren't spending first round picks on RB.

no Barnett is not a tweener in any sense of the word. Curt Maggit was a tweener. Barnett is a 4-3 DE all day.

Did you notice at the end of John Kelly's 35 yrd run in the SC game, where he indistinctly rolled to his back?

Man, I wish we'd been using Kelly sooner this year. Weren't the coaches raving, last year, about Kelly and F-a? Why were we not / why are we not using these type younger guys to help move the ball down the field in certain situations, in the big games (FL, GA, VT) BEFORE injuries? Yeah, Kelly was in ATM, but only because JH was out. Goodness.

I think Jones was giving Hurd every chance to perform well because he was a highly rated recruit from Tennessee, and he thought that if Hurd did well it would be beneficial in getting other highly rated recruits from Tennessee in the future. Hurd simply was not happy that they did not want to change the offense to better suit him, and this ultimately became a drag on the whole team. I don't think he will be missed.

The #2 SEC team will likely be in either the Sugar or Orange Bowl, based on conference bids.

Orange will surely go with loser of the OSU-Mich game over a three loss SEC2.
And Barnett is the best prospect because dominant linemen are much more valuable than RB's and DB's in the NFL.

I have read at least 4 scouting reports that says he might end up as a 3-4 LB so I'll trust their analysis over yours.

Ridley, Stewart, and both Amari and Pharoh Cooper abused Sutton.

Sutton's a really good player. But I'm not sold on his ability to shut down top tier receivers.

Pharaoh Cooper nor Adarius Stewart did no such thing. Why make stuff up??

I wish someone would have stickied your Dobbs projections, North and Taylor draft projections as well. Oh and the Bosa ones. And Hurd being the Calvin Johnson of RBs one. That last one may be the best of them all.

Hurd is still a great RB. We've seen that from him. Everything just broke down in and around him.

He should shine in the NFL.

No. "Great" is not appropriate here. Hurd was very good, at times an outstanding player....but he was never great IMO.

Heard one of the VQ guys say last week that NFL scouts who've visited the facility this year have said Hurd's stock as an NFL running back has dropped significantly since last year and that's one of the reasons Hurd suddenly talked about a position change with his transfer.

I don't believe they'll consider anyone from the East the SEC2....that distinction will go to either A&M or Auburn. Anyone in the went would win the East, maybe not Miss State but the East is pretty bad.

I'm still not 100% sure we win out...this team has looked awful in some games

Yes he could but he was nowhere near a once in a generation talent like Calvin Johnson. Also, he isnt even going to play RB in the NFL.
