what a shock. People have no idea if he is the best option or not, but they are unhappy with the switch.

I guess the coaches didn't consult the experts at VN (or John, Jimmy, Bob, Mike and Chuck at Sports Source) first before making the move judging by the responses. How do we know Greg King can't play TE? He might be better suited for it because he obviously can't play LB well since he is with the 3's as a RS senior. Remember this is Sal that is agreeing to this. Y'all say he is one of the best d-coaches out there, especially at LB. Perhaps the guys many of you put down such as Propst and Fugate are better players than you think.

Trust the coaches.

Just because he has been asked to take some snaps in practice at that position doesn't mean he will ever be asked to contribute there. It's a contingency plan. Are all of you mental?

I'm lost on this one. I thought Justin King was moved to TE/HB but it's Greg King? So what's up with Justin King? I am shocked that it's Greg King after seeing that he made some plays on defense in the scrimmage I was hoping he was regaining his freshman form.

Greg King seems like a really good guy in the video. Sounds like he is an anything to help the team guy.

Perhaps the coaches see him as a good football player who just can't quite see the field at LB--since the coaches think he is a good football player, they decide to try him elsewhere--where we need more help.

Let'em coach guys.

King is a RS Junior. He does seem like a good guy and wants to help the team so that's all that matters, but I hope he gets a shot at LB too this year.

In other news LaTroy Lewis is now 2nd team OLB. That guy could be the most underrated recruit of the class along with Justin King.

Who the heck said they didn't think he could play TE? Nobody.

It just seemed like an odd move to some people. Obviously if the coaches think he can help there then go for it. I hope Greg does well there. Chill out guys.

instead of using linebackers as tight ends,
why don't we just let marcus jackson or james stone be a 6th lineman and line up in that tight end spot or just go 4 wide (hunter, da'rick, cp, and zach rogers) and just air it?

Stone is staring center and putting a guard on the edge is a bad idea. Jumbo lineman sets have been mentioned around here though.

Yeah I am not sure that makes me feel good... Esp w Dooley just on 104.5 talking about how we are very good but THIN at LB. Poor King , came to UT as a stud recruit , was going to help right away... blown knees are , well you know.
