In the last 20 years other than beat TN what has either GA or FL accomplished?

Fl hasn't won the SEC since tebow.

Yet neither are considered failed programs because they actually compete.

We are losing all these transfers because most of them were total losers who sucked at football and couldn't get their crap together while on or off the field.

This is actually the best scenario in my opinion.

26 pieces of total worthless crap now so coach can ONLY focus on the guys who want to be here.

I am the most excited I have been in decades and most would consider me a nega vol.

I am glad these guys are gone. They were quitters and WE ALL SAW IT!!!

This. Get rid of the dead weight now. No cancer in the locker room, weight room, dorms or anywhere else. We need a new attitude, a new work ethic, a new scheme on both sides of the ball (got that) and a new TEAM. We are 1 for 4 as of now...the other 3 are in progress and will take TIME.

Remember you dolts...the WORST SEASON in UT history ended a few months ago...3 wins. Total. Azzwhipped by UK in NEYLAND!!!!! No forgetting that. WORST QUARTERBACK IN UT HISTORY. PERIOD. LOST 2 GAMES PLUS FOR EVERY GAME HE WON AS A STARTER.

That kind of stink doesnt wipe off. I see you mental midgetz calling for 7 and 8 wins. Have even seen 9. If we win 6 Games and get bowl eligible, we are on the right track. Win 7 and we overachieved with probably 2 upsets. Somehow win 8 games and Heupel should be SEC coach of the year. Period. To come off a 3 win season of historic suckitude, lose RB1 and RB2, both starters from OTackle, all SEC LB as well as our 2 best WR and our best OL to the NFL....and win 8 games with 3 or more being upsets??? Not gonna happen, but if it does thats automatic SEC COY material...

His biggest play, I believe, is he injured Toua which ultimately cost Bama a NC and won me $1,500 ( I had LSU as NC at 15-1).

Each of us are sailing our own ships. Someday Greg will be ask by his grandkids what he was in college ball...Well I was a Dog, Cock, Horned Frog....what ever... Quitters don't belong on this team. It's a good thing that Greg has hit the portal because we need real men who will stay to the last man standing. And if we have any more snowflakes on this team...Don't let the exit door hit you in the arse on the way out. We finally have some great coaches that will bring this program back where it belongs...Amen!

Solid post. And agree…we’re an sec team with a passionate fan base that will allow you a lot of prime time opportunities to show what you can do. It’s hard to understand how there’s a better situation for him elsewhere. A guy like him should work his ass off here and get on the field. How could transferring to a team with a more established coaching staff (and a more established rotation) help him. Everyone got a clean slate last year. Nobody has earned more opportunities (regardless of potential) here just due to them having earned the respect of the coaches. He’s not going to start with a clean slate anywhere else.

I liked Emerson, but he clearly regressed last year. Hate it didn't with out, but wish him the best for sure. We have plenty of depth at D Line, just need someone to actually step up.

All the more troubling that he's leaving. I've yet to see JH do too good of a job retaining a solid base of players

How is it that the Transfer Portal is a bane for some programs? Yet, a blessing for others?

Even as new as the portal is, it is obvious that its effects are not felt universally across all of college football.

To JH's credit, I don't think he is actively attempting to talk some of the quitters or the marginal players to stay.

I think that is good. We need true orange blooded players that want to give their all to UT.

If anyone can turn UT around, I believe it will be Heup.
