I don’t see the 25th ever having a chance of being used in the modern political environment.
That's exactly how I developed that opinion. Watching how he responds to questions. I don't go by what other people say about him. He never seems to know much detail about current events and his unwavering fealty towards anything Trump does is pathetic. It could be dark at night and he would say it's daylight like you don't know any better. Yeah, he is clownExhibit 1A why nothing can be discussed rationally. No, he is not a clown. Listen to him instead of what someone else says about him. Instead of immediately jumping into attack mode, why not make the case why he is not suitable?
But, but, but HE'S A CLOWN! Thanks for adding nothing.
I realize the russians have been promised the world, but who's making the promises? Are they trustworthy? Is it possible the Russians could be being set up for failure as well if the real goal of the moment was to replace humans with robots - in twenty or thirty years? The concept is much simpler than that, the U.S. doesn't need Europe. Europe itself will be collapse and I hate to break it to ya, Europe isn't full of Europeans anymore.
Russia can't veto, but they seem to be generally on board, the Chinese are very quiet -- they hold the veto. Europe is not a major player.

I think you make more of a case for another impeachment with a successful conviction this time than for the 25th. Trump’s merry band of sycophants will never raise up against their lord and savior. And any one of them that hints at even considering it would be outed by Stephen Miller and they would be immediately excommunicatedI would have agreed with you a year ago.
Can't a recall a POTUS that has pissed off:
-the opposing party this much
-his own party
-the fringe outliers in his own party who sacrificed their credibility in past support
-this many of his own voters
-the big money private sector
That's just within our own country. If the 25th was ever going to be used, this admin is primed for it.
Hell, aside from a dozen or so posters who boof a bottle of tanning lotion every morning in solidarity, his support here has dwindled to an all time low.
How about somebody just go win an election? These retaliatory investigations and impeachments are a complete joke.I think you make more of a case for another impeachment with a successful conviction this time than for the 25th. That’s 2028 and you’re presuming there won’t be any shift in power before that time. This discussion seems to be ficusing more on the time between now and then? How about somebody just go win an election? These retaliatory investigations and impeachments are a complete joke.
Sorry guys, that isn't even a pea shooter. So what exactly is the ACI? Europe's "trade bazooka" has a 10-point list of possible measures on goods and services. They include:
- Curbs on imports or exports of goods such as through quotas or licenses.
- Restrictions to public tenders in the bloc, worth some 2 trillion euros ($2.3 trillion) per year. Here the EU has two options: Bids, such as for construction or defence procurement, could be excluded if U.S. goods or services make up more than 50% of the potential contract. Alternatively, a penalty score adjustment could be attached to U.S. bids.
- Measures impacting services in which the US has a trade surplus with the EU, including from digital service providers Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix or Uber.
- Curbs on foreign direct investment from the United States, which is the world's biggest investor in the EU.
- Restrictions on protection of intellectual property rights, on access to financial services markets and on the ability to sell chemicals or food in the EU.
Trumps real worried about midterms and being impeached, again. He's joked about it nervously multiple times and followed up with "jokes" about not having midterms. He's a slow bull in a China shop till them. Expect more crazy soon.If the 25th is invoked, I wouldnt be surprised if he tried to save face by doing what he could to bring him down.
I think it's pretty obvious that he's that kind of person.
I think Trump is saying we will get out of the way and its up to those regions to figure it out, but realistically Europe is dead man walking so that leaves Russia as the major party who in theory control the region.I realize the russians have been promised the world, but who's making the promises? Ok I agree with you. All impeachments this far have been political theater. Thus far another impeachment on Trump would be too however if the Dems get a simple majority in the house Trump will be impeached again that’s a given.Pretty much everything going back to Bill Clinton.
Ok I’m glad we both agree your post wasn’t relevant. Nixon would have been impeached and convicted. Jackson was censured which was later expunged. In both cases to me they seemed on par as a response to the actions of the individual. No but the political mechanisms were there, based on a mix of actual typical political wrongdoing and then political lawfare for power
