Greenland

Greenland has a few choices but it probably won't make it through the cycle independent as is. The safe bet is the U.S. depending on the agreement reached.

Will we invade?
Ha! Of course not. 2 reasons:

(1) The obvious. Trump threatens **** 24/7, but TACO; and

(2) NATO. Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty states that an armed attack against one NATO member shall be considered an attack against all members, and triggers an obligation for each member to come to its assistance. Thus, if the US invades Greenland, we are obligated to come to Greenland's assistance.😆 Alternatively, we have World War III with...drum roll please... all our NATO allies.

If the U.S. invaded Greenland, nobody is going to do squat about anything tough guy. But the U.S. is not going to invade NATO Greenland. Its actually the opposite, Europe will try and obtain it through force and at that point they are on their own.

Once Europe collapses, Europeans will go back to doing what they do best - fighting each other. Since they all basically lack resources of any kind, Greenland looks like an easier target. If they want to go at it alone, that is fine but don't cry to the U.S. later, imo.

Hopefully, Americans are done dying for those people over there.

lol

I don’t even have a high opinion of European governments but this is the most absurd claptrap I’ve seen on this board in quite a while.

One thing he's not wrong about, there will be another European war between what are now "allies".

What part? Europe will collapse, they are just in the denial stage right now - they'll go back to what they do best, kill each other. Why do you think the U.S. has bases in Europe not because of Russians, but because of Europeans.

A pretty balanced view :

I mentioned many years ago the Baltic states being in play but not from Russia, they should be moving right now to securing their future as they will be easier prey. There is no real future for most of Europe.

Yeah no. Russia is basically an agrarian / petrochemical state with some amazing engineers.

Putin is pumping a dry well w Ukraine. Driving his country into oblivion is apparently fine by him.

I do think we're close to the end of the war.
