Greatest Vol you ever saw play or met.

Biggest regret. Not meeting George Cafego. I was working in Gibbs hall in the 70s on the training table staff. Coaches were in there a lot - Majors had me fetch stuff out of the fridge when the dining hall was closed and I was in there studying.

Cafego was coaching the kickers. The days I saw him in there, he was quiet and sort of kept to himself. Saw him a lot. I didn't really understand what this man meant to UT. Hindsight says - I should have approached him and chatted with him for a while. Honored to just be in his presence as much as I was.

Went to the Vandy UT game in Knoxville Peyton's last year. I got on the field with my parents and tried to get to Peyton but I had a security grab cuss me like a dog about getting near him. A man, standing to my right, said "Son , do you want an autograph?" I said sure and had no clue who it was. It was Archie Manning and I had no clue who he was until my dad told me about him. I then received Big Als and Andy McCullough autograph. One of the most awesome experiences I have ever had...

I lined up in the blocks to run the 110...Billy Williams was lined up next me. He looked at me and smiled. He beat me by 20 yards. Fastest human ive ever seen up close...

Met Leonard Little, Eric Parker, Cory Terry, Travis Henry, Shawn Bryson, John Henderson

But the 2 greatest players I've met are Condredge Holloway and Al Wilson

Bagged groceries at Food City for Pat Summitt when I was in high school. Took her stuff out and she was parked in the fire lane, hopped in her car and started up and left me there to load bags and suck fumes.

Had Jay Graham as a biology lab partner in school. Seemed like a nice guy the 2 times he showed up for class.

I have a very good memory of when I was little and met Phillip Fulmer. I'm originally from Indianapolis, so I am a huge Colts fan. I was around 8 years old in the McGhee Tyson Airport and wearing a Colts Peyton Manning jersey. Phillip Fulmer comes walking by and stops to tell me "That's a good player right there". Lifetime memory

Haha.. I used to be friends with him in HS, he could absolutely fly. The rumor was his little brother was faster but didn't like football

Peyton was a couple of years ahead of me in school. I registered for an upper level class accidentally with out the pre-reqs. On the first day I sat down and he was sitting in the desk beside me. I freaked and then quickly realized that I was not supposed to be in the class but I showed up every day for a few weeks and sat in the same desk before I had to drop without a W. I never spoke to him. Ha...star struck even then...I guess.

I had many classes with TO at UTC(fun guy to be around) he thought he was going to be a Vol...does that count?

Also, walked the same route as Peyton his last year when I was there...was cool seeing him walking around like everybody else.

I heard that BoroVol met Josh Briscoe

Just kidding brother. Hope your family has a great Christmas.

I met Al Wilson and when he shook my hand he nearly broke it! Dude was strong!! Still the only player I know of who broke his own shoulder hitting the opposing player!

I met Jason Witten during his first season with the Cowboys. He is as good a person off the field as he is on it. He talked to me for a lot longer than I thought he would, but looking back on it, I think he was as happy to see a fellow UT alum as I was. A really good dude.

I've watched Peyton play in the SEC Championship Game, the AFC Championship Game, the Super Bowl, the Orange Bowl and other regular season games.

Run in to Steve DeLong at Dollywood one time. Got to talk to him a long time, then mentioned I recognized him and knew who he was. He talked alittle about football after that. Good talking to him. Great man. Just as plain as the day is long, as the saying goes.

I have met various players on the field at O&W game. To numerous to count or list.
