Its about time somebody gives that team the respect they deserve. ESPN done that 10 best teams thing and we didnt even get in it. This team was AWSOME but apparantly nobody else sees it except us vol fans

It's a pretty good looking list they have there. In my mind I would switch Texas and Nebraska '95. The 95 Huskers should have played in the NFL. In my opinion, the best college team ever.
I wonder if the Vols would have scored higher than 8th if Peyton had been playing that year. After all, it's an opinion poll.

Nope, we would have lost to FLA.

Interesting that Texas (2005) gets credit for a quality win against UL-Lafayette while Auburn counts as a bad win for the Vols (1998)

However I consider this analysis to be legit for 2 reasons:

1) It puts us in the top 10 and

2) The "Got Twelve" crowd doesn't show up until #27 :biggrin2:

Just read the formula stuff and they define a quality win as a win over a program that had a winning season.

I was wondering why UL-Lafayette was a quality win too. I guess it was because they won by 50+ points.

i think this is a pointless poll with a wierd formula.

anyone who has the 2001 miami hurricanes that far back is crazy.

texas this year number 1? time for them to rethink quality win stats.

anyways, this is just a dumb formula, and there is no way people would vote it like that.
