lee otis played. I have him on DVD making a tackle at 1978 Notre Dame game. One of the greatest defensive plays I've ever seen.

He ran down Vegas Ferguson from behind after a long run to make tackle

I am glad that you posted this... I had begun to think I only immagined that play.... he he:crazy:

You are right on all accounts. I was at that game and the play Burton made was one of the greatest defensive plays I have ever seen too. Burton got robbed of a fantastic career and he would have been one of our best ever. That recruiting class was rated number one, but it never panned out like it was suppose to and is one reason Majors got off to a slow start as coach of UT.

Lee North, who went on to play with the Dallas Cowboys was a good one from this class!
