Speaking of fight scenes... has anyone seen Scott Pilgrim vs the World??

Just saw it on HBO tonight. Unique.

Sometimes simpler is better. Indiana Jones vs the Nazi airplane mechanic from Raiders always sticks out in my mind. As does the simplest fight of all, where Jones shoots the swordsman.

People hate the Star Wars prequels, but Anakin vs Obi-Wan and the Darth Maul stuff were very good.

Does a battle count? If so, the D-Day landing in Saving Private Ryan is pretty damn good.

One of the best (and only) redeeming qualities from the prequels is Nick Gillard's lightsaber duel coordinating. The fight scenes, especially the two you mentioned are fantastic.

I just hate the super long extended fight scenes like in the matrix & movies like that. Reminds me of Peter & the chicken.
