Do some of y'all think they played better cause JS was in foul trouble, and no JM to bale them out either. So instead of looking for someone else to do it, they were thinking I have to do it cause there ain't nobody else. If so this could be the game they grew up in??? I just can't believe we beat that team with that line up!!!! Good win!!!

I was thinking this, not knocking Jarnell, the offense seemed to flow better w/o him. Trae and Jordy were aggressive, instead of looking to pound it inside every possession. Honestly I'd like to see more of the offense we saw tonight. Guys cutting, moving w/o the ball, and attacking. To often we feed it inside, guys stand around and the offense becomes stagnant. Jmho One thing I did notice about WSU. When Stokes was in, their Hall was really aggressive. When Stokes was out I didn't notice him as much. Random observation.

It's funny how when UT wins the typical Debbie Downer posters and limp wristed idiots don't give Martin or UT credit. Funny how that works.

Man the F up you bunch of pathetic Debbie Downers.

Who in this thread was being a Debbie Downer? I read nothing but positive feedback, and honest analysis until your post. Lol

Edit: NM I get what you are saying. Sorry it's late and I'm half asleep. My bad man.

I seem to remember a couple posters pumping up Marshall and saying he'd coach circles around Martin.

Well Martin coached his team to a victory without his best player, and closed on a 12-1 run without his second best player.

It'd appear to me Martin out coached Marshall tonight hands down, so where are those posters???

Is Stokes underachieving or just having a tough stretch? He should be averaging 17-20 a game, no excuse.

HONOR THY VOLS...CHERISH THEM...

In fairness, Stokes is really still a freshman.
Should be doing better than he is though.

Stokes is going through a slump I believe. Every player goes through it. It just seems to stick out more because he's the best player on the team and was getting a lot of accolades at the beginning of the season. He will find his way out of it. Having Yemi and Hall play like they did last night soften the blow of stokes having the slump.

I can deal with the slump in the sense of not scoring or whatever, but it's the lack of effort that's glaring to me. That's not a slump, that's simply lack of effort and at times not looking like he's even into the game. I don't know if anyone's noticed it, but he's usually the last guy off the bench. When Brandon Lopez and Edwards were up cheering last night Stokes was sitting until everyone else got up. Maybe it's just his personality and he isn't vocal, I don't know, but when he's not giving effort on the floor those things raise questions.

Didn't get to see the game until only 7 minutes left. Was glad they were able to pull it out after letting the 6 point lead disappear. :good!:

Yeah I understand everything that you're pointing out. The last three games he has been taken out of the game and it has effected his ego I believe. CCM or somebody needs to have a one on one with him and see what's wrong. If anything tell him you may not be scoring that doesn't stop you from being aggressive and grabbing offensive and defensive rebounds. I just hope he figures it out I've in no way given up on him. The season is still long.

Back to Yemi who only had 4 fouls in 20 minutes.
His times 40 stats project he'd average a double double.
Getting better on fouls but he'd foul out before he got to his doubles.
Fun to watch though. some of the shots that go in for him are hilarious.

Indeed. Yemi does this thing where he takes a wild shot, I start SMH, and before I'm done, the ball goes in haha.

He's seems to be getting better with the fouls as compared to last year, so that's good. I think by the time he is a junior, but even more when he's a senior, hell be a double double guy.

*having Maymon back next year probably keeps him from averaging that double double*
