great win but slightly disappointed

I ain't worried about it. I'm a grown man with big ole shoulder and thick skin.

I said what I said. good win but we totally quit the second half. not Nick Saban quality football. not Steve Spurrier quality football.

let's just go beat Vandy
Hey Einstein, Spurrier was up on us in Knoxville 35-0 after the first half. He ran the ball the entirety of the 2nd half. 🤭 If the Falcons ran the ball the entirety of the second half against the Patriots in the second half of the SB, they would have won by 2 TDs. Saban ran the ball most of the time in the shellacking of ND in the NC game. Every great coach would laugh at your assessment. It's nice you have thick skin. You need it with your takes

Prior to this game would you have taken a one point win?
I said all week that a loss to a 3-7 Florida team without a head coach would be an unforgivable sin. and I truly mean unforgivable. then all the pansies showed up saying "we never win in the swamp".

we beat a team we had absolutely no business losing to. nothing more nothing less.

Ive seen Tennessee wins in the swamp before. I'm never scared of them and every time we lose to them I cuss out Tennessee for letting them win games we should have won easily.

I'm happy anytime we win. I would have been happy if it ended up 31-30 Tennessee. I would never complain about a win OR how we achieved it. Seen too many losses in this lifetime to not enjoy the wins.
I'm very happy for you!

Some of you have forgotten the last 20+ years?
We’re up 31 at half time and I’m holding my breath the entire second half expecting us to hand the ball to a defensive lineman for a score, or the officials to start calling everything on us and nothing on the gators…..South Carolina’s meltdown last week and my battered vol syndrome had me on the edge of my seat until the final tick…..but now I can celebrate!

I mean look, Florida came out with an entire half left waving the white flag running the clock out, that’s HILARIOUS. Give me that sight over scoring a couple more garbage time TDs.

If any part of you is disappointed blowing them out at their place given the history, you’re beyond help tbh

Dude we went vanilla. Be happy we won at florida
They had 2 high safeties the entire game. There's no point in throwing the deep ball, when every go and post route is double covered. Best move to do there is protect the ball and control the clock. Nobody got hurt which is most important.

I’m mildly disappointed in our fanbase. We stomp them in their home for the first time in 20 plus years and all people can do is bitch about it.

Uh, first time in almost everyone on this board’s lifetime. Every single one of the handful of wins we’ve had in the last 50 years have been like pulling teeth. 2001, for example, was an amazing Tennessee football team and we still had to stop a 2 point conversion and they almost recovered the onside kick.

31 points in the first half and nothing the entire second half after the announcers got done saying Heupel never lets off the gas and shows no mercy.

I wish we had beaten these guys by 60 to make up for all the years of losing.

good game
good win.

Here’s the funny thing….

Remember everyone questioning if Heupel would know how to slow it down and run the ball to protect a lead?

Well, now that he does it, it’s somehow wrong.

We only had 3 possessions in the second half. We punted, missed a FG, and had the ball in the red zone when we ran out the clock. That’s not as bad as many are making it.

Great, dominant win. I’ll take those all day long.

2nd half was a drag. We didn't quit, though. We cut them really bad in the first half and then let them bleed out in the second. Content to run the ball and kill clock and let them do the same. You can agree or disagree with the strategy, but it was to some degree intentional.

Edit: think of it this way: we went scoreless in a half at the Swamp and still won by 20 points. Reverse the halves (them with an 11-0 lead at half and us outscoring them 31-0 the second) and we're all singing a veeery different tune, even though the outcome's the same.

You knew it was coming. We have a bunch of titty babies.

All week long its been "Ill believe a win in the swamp when I see it"

Beat them by 20 points in the swamp "they suck we should have beaten them by 30. Hell we didnt score in the 2nd half. Nothing to be excited about."

Heupel could have scored 40 plus but decided not to because the game was over after we went up 28 to o. Great win, you should probably enjoy it.

I agree. we didn't get anyone hurt which is the main thing.

its just so so fun to feed the trolls on this board. if you say anything contrary the whole place melts down and it's just so funny how grown people react.

oh wait that was supposed to be an inside thought. dang it.

Yep. 6-12 yards at a time. We exploited it all night. If they’re gonna run two high you take what they give you and win the game. It was a great gameplan.

I will be disappointed if, after a Gator fan called him ugly on a message board, Smoky didn't leave a present or three on the field after the game.
