Why does Bullard have to "trick his mind" to be physical? What is his mind's natural inclination? To be soft? I'm not encouraged.

That's exactly what I was thinking. A good offensive lineman wants to maul the man across him. If there is not a dl across from you, get to the second level and plow through a linebacker.

Exactly you are either mean or not you can't trick yourself into it..... it may work for a few plays but when you start getting beat at the line of scrimmage you have to get mean and have the will to win.. hopefully they have that attitude naturally

It's starting to sound like some of our Vols kids are starting to grow up a bit.

They're probably tired of getting pushed around and are getting ready to start pushing other people around.

I think Sam Pittman is teaching alot of new things and getting our O line fired up and ready to be seriously aggresive and nasty.

The more mature, dedicated kids need to take charge and set some others straight and get them on the right track too.

We've badly lacked upperclass leadership and the demand for excellence for several years and now we need the Juniors to really take charge and push everyone else in the right direction.

I like alot of what I've read coming out of the mouths of several of our players so I think several of them are really starting to get it.

CDD and our new coaches have a different mindset this season and they'll give every kid the chance to change his ways but I think alot of the coddling and babying some people is vanishing and and it's time to get right or get gone and the TEAM is becoming what's most important than individual stats and some kids just don't like that and will whine awhile until they see it's a new time at Tennessee and we have goals that we expect to achieve with or without certain players.

I actually like what's going on and I think it'll pay big dividends in the long term.

VFL...GBO!!!

Lol. Is that you Galen Hall? Are you still mad? Must be, hanging out on this board. Most of us get it, but you're scaring the kids. You are right tho, talk is cheap. Better quote from Bullard was when he was asked about D. Rogers..."Next man in".
