Got a source at UNC who said that Roy is getting tired of waiting on Leslie Mcdonald and is most likely going to move on.

That really puts the ball in UT and Memphis's court IMO. I dont think he goes to Duke because Williams will be there and K is going hard after Boynton.

So with UT's recent win over Memphis they might get a pleasant suprise soon. I'm sure he wouldnt regret the chance to become a local hero here in the state.

How could that be? Tennessee and Memphis don't recruit the same kids. :whistling:

I think Georgetown is the sleeper with him. Good academics and a good system. They've been loading up with big men, and if they don't land Lance Stephenson they could go after McDonald hard.

Georgetown is for sure a sleeper.

The reason I say Memphis is the local pressure. Elliot had it on him as well.

But Roy is suprising me with not wanting to wait. Since LM said he doesn't want to to commit until later. Roy just doesnt want to wait another 6 months.

But i'm sure Bruce Pearl will. Players love loyalty. I know i did during my recruiting process.(football, not bball)

looks like that waiting really turned out as a positive for you.

Do you mean by him possibly coming to Duke? Because I highly doubt Leslie will with Elliot already here. I mean HIGHLY doubt it.

But if you mean that its a positive for him to not be at UNC, well then, that is true. We don't have to see him twice every year he is there.

Honestly I want him to stay in state with UT. If Scotty does not come, Leslie could be the first "huge thing" to be at UT in a while.

"I dont think he goes to Duke because Williams will be there"

That makes Duke more attractive since the two are good friends. I think it will come down to Duke, Memphis, & UT in the end.

Here's a quote from McDonald's uncle in a Memphis newspaper:

"I told him I think Tennessee is the leader," McDonald said -- and some insight. "One thing you can't control is his personal life," Steven McDonald recalled telling Pearl. "And wherever his girlfriend wants to go? That's where he's going. You got a good shot. But if she wants to go to someplace like Ole Miss, Leslie's going to Ole Miss. Ain't nothing you can do about it."

how about we let the kid do what makes him happy

Letting others dictate your life rarely makes a person happy. It's good advice. I hope he takes it for his own good. Personally i couldn't give two shi** about where he goes to play ball.
