Great job by Travis Ford today

Nice to see your definition of the terms differs from everyone else in the country. If you look at the Vegas line today, you'll see Tennessee listed under "favorite" and Oklahoma State listed under "underdog".

Well then I apologize. Clearly the man is a coaching genius for winning a game by two points that oddsmakers thought would be decided by... two points. I am astounded that Travis Ford managed to overcome such insurmountable odds. Undoubtedly the one score spread indicated that everyone in the nation- save Travis, his Cowboys, and one very special Kentucky fan- was expecting Tennessee to blow Oklahoma right off the court. Merely keeping this game close would have been a wonderful act of coaching. The stunning victory might very well be the greatest sporting achievement of our era.

Once again I find you to speak in circles. Nevertheless, if Creighton defeats the Cats, you can start a thread and I'll respond.

You only show up on VN during times like this. We wouldn't have seen your face if the Vols had won.

Your flagship sports program has now finished behind us for four consecutive years. And, our flagship sports program has won 24 straight over you.

Now, run along.

If gillispie gets fired soon, Travis ford will be a leading candidate for the job, even though he has only 1 ncaa win.

You can add that one too, but that still doesn't define an "upset". Those are just examples. Since nobody wants to define it, I'll go ahead and say an "upset" is when an unexpected event happens such as a favored team losing to an underdog.

An avalanche is an upset?

UK ever beating UT in Football would be a good example.
Wasn't Kentucky actually favored by a couple points the year before last? Not sure, but I seem to recall Kentucky being favored by 2 at Commonwealth. If that was the case, the Vols upset the Cats in OT. That was TOTALLY unexpected.

Example of "upset" used as an unexpected event......

UK fans are "upset" with UK's birth into the NIT. :eek:lol:

You and the rest of Wildcat Nation should know the definition of "upset." UK has provided many example's the last two season's.:blush2:

It amazes me that you continue to ask us to define "upset" for you, when it's staring you in the face.

Travis Ford did a good job of coaching today. The Vols had the bodies inside and Oklahoma State got in early foul trouble. That's when Ford perfectly timed a technical foul and began working the refs. End result, the underdog Oklahoma State Cowboys move on to face Pitt and send the Vols back to Knoxville, headbands in hand.

Travis Ford's stock continues to rise while Bruce Pearl's stock seems to take another dip.

Thanks for the good words about Travis Ford. He is becomming a great coach! I cant wait to see what he can do next year with HIS players!!

I wouldn't put cheating out of the realm of possibilities.

Well just like OSU's players out worked and out hustled... Coach Ford out coached little ole Pearl! Tennessee shouldn't even have been in that game....

:cray: Torn to pieces that we don't advance to Round 2 to play Pitt. Looks like we will have to move on to our school's scrub sport. Football. Shucks.

Upset=When a far better team loses to the worse team.

Oklahoma State and Tennessee were fairly even as shown by the seeding, 8 and 9. It wouldn't be an upset for either of them
