I don't know that much about Pruitt but my biggest concern is that if he is as successful as we want him to be he will head South should Mama Bama call.

Not true. Even Currie had some quality people on his list. IMO, the best coach we interviewed (or at least talked to) throughout the process was Chris Petersen. If we would have thrown $7 or $8M at him he would have listened, but we aren't that committed.

One that we had on the hook was Jeff Brohm. Outside of Petersen, he was absolutely the best coach we interviewed. As I said in other threads, Brohm is a guy that will be at a Blueblood within a couple of years and I just hope he doesn't come into the SECE now. The guy is an offensive genius and has taken Petrinos system, modified it and made it even better. He would have killed it here. When we look back in a few years we are going to realize just how big that fish was that we let get away.

People in Arkansas are not so thrilled with that hire. Either were the analysts on the PF show yesterday. I believe Pruit is a much better hire, but we will see.:hi:

One big difference I see is that Pruitt won a NC at FSU as well, not just at Alabama.

Dooley worked for Saban at LSU and he grew up around football and he had the football pedigree from his successful father
How did that turn out? All I am saying is just because someome once ate lunch with Saban or Bell A Cheat does not make them a good coach
Use other reasons that you feel that they will be successful
