Great game from a Cal fan. You guys travel really well and I have never heard/seen the stadium that loud when we had the ball ever since I've been a Cal fan..I read a few posts that referred to your D playing pretty bad. However, I don't think you guys realize how good our offense is. I mean, EVERYONE at the skill is experienced and our O-line may have a couple all-Americans. Unless, Tebow becomes a really good passer, I think this is the best O you guys will face all year and your D did make some plays.

Outside of the BCS, what's the bowl with SEC-Pac 10 matchup? I know the ACC has one (Emerald Bowl).

Haha, maybe the Rose Bowl?

Good job by Cal last night. Your comments about your O-line are important. Either our D-line is much worse than expected (possible), or you o-line is better than advertised (also, possible). I had heard you had a good o-line going into the game...and they showed up.

Man, I hope you're right about your O-line! Time will tell as we each play on, but I'm afraid our D-line may be even worse than last year (after Harrell went out) & that was pretty average.

GG and sportsmanship (or fansmanship) CB4L. I gotta say that these types of series are what college ball is all about. Screw Penn State v Florida International. Gimme the big time. I agree that UT played better on O than many are giving credit. Ainge is the real deal and noone seems to get that. Hopefully the D can grow up.

BTW, I agree that playing this Cal team (win or loss) is the best thing for UT. NOBODY will present the same problems Cal did. Add the cross country travel and lack of the #1 RB (no excuse, just a fact) and I think UT is actually in pretty good shape.

Good luck to Cal with the rest of the season, and with getting that facility up. Please post pictures of cutting down the trees.

Good game guys. Hopefully you all can win out and take the Pac 10. Good luck the rest of the season.

At least I am not a Michigan fan this morning. Cal fan is right...at the skill positions, there are not too many teams better than Cal...however they are not big and strong and we tackled poorly. Our receivers did better than expected, but when you spot 7 and give up a TD to special teams you put yourself in a world of hurt...could be a long season, but like Cal last year we should work to show that we are better than yesterday.

I don't there's another team anywhere with better WR's.
We missed Jonothan Wade, Inky Johnson, Morley, and Roshaun Fellows last night.

we sure do but then if we had some pressure upfront we would not have had so many long passes that made our secondry look a lil bad

hawkins and jordan made good use of the oppurtunities that open up coz of Djax... guess they complement each other.... but guess ur D has to improve to stop the big guys u will be facing... good game overall and good luck to CAL....

Congrats to Cal. You all were hitting on all cylinders and talk about team speed! It has been a good home & home. While I hate the loss, I would rather the Vols play out of conference against teams of your caliber.

Good game by Cal. I thought the Bears were very polished for the first game of the season and have some impressive skill players.

It was a very good game by cal. Most definately the best offense we will see. Theres only one other in the nation id like to avoid more, that being Louisville.

I don't think USC (Cali) would take it light on us either. I just hope the SEC don't smell blood in the water.

Congrats on the win. You guys played great and stuck it out to the end. I'll be rooting for you to knock off USC.

Ainge is without question one of the best opposing qb's I've seen play in person for the last few years. Probably up there right next to Matt Leinart but Leinart had WAY TOO MUCH NFL talent and experience around him. Ainge's poise and leadership truly showed.

He was definitely one of the bright spots for us last night. Longshore's play last night was like night and day compared to last year.
