Monte definitely dialed up some stuff we hadn't seen before. Hopefully Adazzio our OC learned something yesterday. You guys had a great defensive game plan.

Not sure why you kicked to Brandon three times, or why you opened the second half passing on 1st down. That helped give us momentum back until Tebow fumbled in the 4th quarter. I think you guys threw 3 downfield passes all game, and 2 were INTs.

I had no illusions that UF would cover the spread, and when I saw Deonte Thompson in shorts and no shoulder pads during warmups I knew we would be in for a battle. I'm not a betting man, but I would have been very tempted to put $1000 on the game had I known Thompson would be out. He's our best deep threat.

For any Vol fans who made the trip I'd love to hear about your experiences. The visitors section wasn't as orange as it normally is when you come to town, and the pre-game walk to the stadium was uneventful.

Anyway, great game, good luck the rest of the season and beat the hell out of Georgia.

GO GATORS!!

Very classy post and yes I hope that we beat the crap out of Georgia and really I hope we do that the rest of the way. I love it when rivals fans show some class anyways good luck to you the rest of way. I wouldn't be surprised if Tennessee some how finishes second place in the SEC East behind Florida, because I think we're a better football team than the rest of the SEC Teams in the East.

Do you want them to kick off out of bounds?

Shame on Tim Tebow.

Shame on the Florida Gators.

They were supposed to give Gator Nation Lane Kiffin's head.

Instead, all they got was more of Lane Kiffin's mouth.

Tennessee 13, Florida 23.

Florida gets the official victory, but Kiffin gets the win.

Florida fans cursed him. They gave him the middle finger. They even held up pictures of Al Davis.

The fans were non-stop," Kiffin, the kid provocateur coach, said and smiled when talking about how Gator Nation was out for blood. "There were a lot of F-words that weren't 'Florida' being yelled at me. It was beautiful."

That was from the Orlando Sentinel

I keep hearing about this Thompson kid, and how that may have changed your play calling some, by not going down field. May be my ignorance, but I have never heard of the kid. I beleive it was evident that UF did not want to take any chance down the field, but I think it had to do more with UTs personel, and not UFs. Our DL did not give Tebow alot of time. And when he did have time, he couldn't find anybody. JMO. UF has to fill the gap left by Harvin better. If they don't, they will lose to somebody down the road. If they do, they should win out. But they got it to do.

Great game Vols. The future for your team is very bright. Eric Berry might be the best defensive player I have ever seen. Good luck on the rest of your season. Oh, when you play Georgia, please pee on them.

Every Gator had this game circled and predicted a blowout a day ago, now they're not surprised.

And some Florida fans dared to say that the lost of Nu'Keese Richardson and Marsalis Teague from last year's recruitment season would not hurt the mighty Gators...

I think they fooled themselves... :whistling:

I think yesterday just goes to show you how great of a defensive mind Monte Kiffin is.

Can you imagine what this guy will be able to do with some depth?

We're gonna be nasty in the near future. NASTY!

I've been thinking the same thing, this guy has so many schemes up his sleeve its crazy. Were going to be consistently in the Top 10 Nationally in defense. You know what they say, defense wins championships :).

EVERY Gator did not. Choose your words wisely.

I predicted a 24 point win on this board. It looked to be a solid prediction before Tebow fumbled in the red zone.

Off-topic, how did Foster get so much PT over Hardesty the past few years? Hardesty runs like a grown man and didn't fumble nearly as much in key situations.

What if Crompton doesn't throw the interception at the start of the 2nd quarter? Your excuses don't change things.

You telling me the odds of Tebow fumbling in the red zone are exactly the same as Crompton throwing a pick on a pass 20 yards downfield?

Crompton threw three passes longer than 20 yards all day long, and 2 got picked off. Tebow had 24 carries.

You just don't expect that from Tebow. Crompton on the other hand....

But both of them did, in fact, cough it up - right? That's the only thing that matters. You can't change or minimize what happened simply because you didn't expect it. Tebow fumbled it in an important situation, and as a result (along with some additional reasons) everybody who thought it would be a blowout was wrong. If you're going to make excuses, perhaps your fellow Gator fans would be a better audience.

Foster got more playing time as the prior coaching genius decided that a senior is always a better football player than a junior. That and other pieces of brilliance got him canned. Although it was about 5 years too late in my humble opinion.

Doesn't change the fact that you are making excuses. Turnovers are a part of the game. Tebow fumbled. It was a close, hard fought game and you guys can't stand it.

I guess I'll just have to be content with a 10-point victory then.

Somehow I'll get through the week.

Let me translate: "I can't defend myself, so I'll resort to the third-grade approach."

I wasn't aware that we lost the game prior to reading your post, so my day is officially ruined. :eek:hmy:

Keep making excuses.

Kentucky has watched our D against you and are planning ways to implement it. Perhaps it is time for to run along to the KY board and play. As history as shown the Wildcats and Commordores play you guys tough.

I've heard from several Vol fans that said that it was their, by far, the best that they've ever been treated in Gainesville. That is a pleasant surprise and really is a huge compliment for your program. I am a bit befiuddled by it, however, since going into this thing every Gator fan I know was acting as if we had just sacked their village, raped their women folk, pillaged the homes, and then burned the place to the ground while all of the men were out on a hunting party. :)

Keep making excuses.

This is exactly my point. I know your day isn't ruined by the loss. That alone speaks volumes.

We now live in a world where UF fans are being called out for making excuses about beating Tennessee for the 5th year in a row by only 10 points.

We call it Crompton's world. Also, our first year under a new head coach. You better be saving your money to try and keep Meyer at Florida after this year.
