With all of the negativity swirling, I feel it's necessary to call out the guy who should get the game ball in my opinion.

Despite the one mistake early in the game, Cam made up for it with solid and clutch play the rest of the way.

He had a great diving pick, and some big tackles down the stretch.

Hats off to him, he showed great poise and confidence as a leader.

Seriously? How can you give anyone a "great game" caption after a special teams fumble that started the mental deflation?

Did he come back from that and play well. Sure. But "great game"? That's one helluva stretch my friend .....

That's true but that muffed punt put us in that situation. If he catches that cleanly with that kind of field position then we are never behind in that game imo. My game ball would be either Derek Barnett or Micah Abernathy personally.

With Cam's caliber and experience, what he did post-fumbled is expected. Maybe I'm wrong here, but he is too talented and too veteran for us to NOT see him shut down his man.

OLine is our biggest problem. Could not block guys 50 pounds lighter than they were. Embarrasing.

Cam Sutton definitely redeemed his mistake and more. He was a difference maker in the win; unfortunately his mistake was the first of many more team mistakes that almost derailed the game. Perhaps undeservedly so, his mistake will be chalked up as the fart that let loose the shart lol

One play on the first punt of the game does not define the game. I understand how bad it was and that it led to a TD, but that was extremely early for you all to say that's what started the storm of bad play.

Get real, they played bad because all of them were sleep walking. Not because Cam muffed a punt.

Look man, you are the one that said player X played a "great game". My point is that because of that play, which BTW led to Appy's first touchdown, you cannot stamp them with a "great game" tag.

"Good game" fine. Great? Just does not make sense....

Senior team captain doesn't secure the catch. That was 100% a mental mistake. That happens when you aren't focused. I'm a little concerned with why he wasn't focused last night

He's expected to make those good plays. He isn't expected to muff a simple punt and put us in a hole from the start.

All the captains need to stand up and apologize to the team. 3 of the 4 made key mistakes that had huge impacts into the final result. AK didn't really make a major mistake but he was non-existent in the offense.

This is a bit hard to take this morning. His fumble started the debacle. It happens, but I'm not going to say "hats off to him". Our seniors really let us down last night. Period.

Wrong. This team and program still doesn't seem to have the mental make up of winners. So when he muffs that punt, App State scores, we don't respond, and the mentality is "here we go again". Our seniors need to better than they were last night.

Really? One mistake leads to all the others? Wtf does Cam have to do with the Oline or Dobbs making a bunch of mistakes? It's not a movie that leads from one scene to the next, it's football. Nobody else's mistake was made because Cam made one. That dude has flat out won ballgames for your team and yep, he made a mistake but he dam* sure didn't make everybody else's mistakes for em and he also played a really good game other than that mistake.

I would give Hurd or Abernathy the game ball or I would tell the team NOBODY is getting the game ball cause nobody deserves it tonight. Maybe mail it to App state cause they actually earned the win. I'm just glad we won. Last year we earned wins but still lost so I'll take it.

You remind me of the video of the 2 kids arguing about if it's "raining" or "sprinkling". Grow up.

Cam certainly made up from his mistake on the muffed punt. Yeah the interception was nice, but without the play with him getting App St out of FG range who know's if the game would have even went into OT. With all that said why isn't Evan Berry our PR man?

It was a terrible mistake by Cam, but no way is it a game changer 3 minutes into the game.

Some of you need to get real. A dropped punt and App score doesn't make Thomas get wrecked every play.

Cam made a nice interception and a huge tackle on a screen play to stop a potential App St. game winning drive.

Announcers called out Abernathy when he had 1 on 1 with the app st QB...ALL ALONE...and got faked out of his jock for a TD....but lets give him a game ball...

I think we mail the game ball to App State's kicker, with apologies for the punch in the gut.

Having trouble thinking of any player on our side of the field who deserves a game ball from last night. So let's send it to him.
