What a little weasel. I, as many others, bought in to this slimy turd-bucket's phoney baloney. He will have/bring problems to USC also. His bolting in the dead of night is a blessing for UT, as we can now, hopefully, hire the RIGHT coach. To diss General Neyland in ANY way is totally classless. Kiffin will get his down the road and, my guess is, it will be sooner rather than later. Goodbye and good riddance, PUNK!!! Southern Cal will rue the day.

Guys, last night I was mad just like everybody else but today I am beginning to think this was a blessing in disguise. Lane Kiffin did not like Tennessee, he did not like the orange, he did not like Vol Walk, he did not like running through the T, and he hated it all. He was here for himself, what happened was going to happen sometime, it was just a matter of time. I put a link on here; it is a player’s view of Lane Kiffin since Feb and some of the stuff that happened in Knoxville. One day we will be back and I bet that coach loves UT.

My name is Mike and I live in WV. I have been a vols fan since I lived in Ky as a child. I know Ky, but that was about the time Bill Curry was there and UK was never on the same plain as UT. I began to watch the Vols whenever I could. Heath was my favorite and still is today. I love the Vols and want them to return to where they belong, on top of the SEC. Like I said, I live in WV, actually was born in WV. I pull for the Mountianeers too, but I bleed orange. I guess since I got to see the ugly side of college football when rich rod left for UM, I have a different feeling than some of you may have. Rich rod left because he felt he deserved a bigger stage, WV rebounded but will never get back to the level they were at. I have followed all the boards and rumor mills over the past 24 hours and as I sit here in my hotel room (on the road on business). I am disappointed in myself and all the rest of us. Lest be honest, 48 hours ago, we all loved the results in recruiting and felt we were on the right path. Reading this article tonight, I am almost in tears realizing that we have sacrificed who we are in hopes of being someone else. I dont know who the next coach will be but I want someone that we dont have to beg for on our knees. This is the Univeristy of Tennessee and we are second to none. If we lose sight of that or align ourselves with someone who does not understand that, then we have failed. I hear that we have been hot after Muschamp all day and are offering him 3 mil to coach here. He needs to sleep on it, are you kidding me. Dont forget that we have multple national championships, a fanbase that rivals anyone, facilities that are second to none, and a tradition that is full of legends, loves, and pride. I hate the pain we are all feeiling right now, but it is nothing compared to the pain felt by players and former players that were cheated our of the Tennessee tradition this past season. I hope that whoever the next coach is, he will understand what the University of Tennessee is about and that this is his dream job. Our players deserve that.

Great article. Why wasnt this kind of thing brought up sooner. Dagreek that was a great post. I hope the next set of coaches embrace our traditions I think we are way better off being the great Tennessee than we are second rate USC rip offs.

I sent the link to a friend... He's now having a blood pressure crisis and is vowing to ruin Kiffen and Orgeron too. I wish he could. I wish I could. He just pissed all over our traditions. Neyland was spinning in his grave and we didn't even know...

A good number of us embraced the USC east...


....but I had no idea that their idea of the new UT meant that the old UT wasn't worth anything. I can't accept that, as much as I bought into their plan, this was not the right approach.

Why is this a surprise to anyone is beyond me. And guess what, if he had not left town he would have had one hell of a recruiting class. He was on his way to turning around the program. You can quibble over the methods or what he was putting on the walls but it was working. Now the son of a b*tch has left town so let's move on.
